20:04 The manga creators previously revealed that Sae judges athletic ability by looking at the athletes’ butts so I bust out laughing at your comment here 😂😂😂
Fun fact of the episode, Rin's shot is the trivela shot, opposed to the trivela pass from Sae. Love how they complement each other. The master of this shot is Ricardo Quaresma. Also the part sae holds the ball with his foot is different in the manga, in the manga he was speeding through or so if I recall. The animation is a bit different. But I still like the animation though, it is not as bad as people say it is in my opinion. Maybe because I'm fully in it for the football and motivation
I really appreciate the extra info from the editor at 3:49 I've seen the scene multiple times, and thought it was a bit odd, but I never realised it was based off of a real tale
If you haven't recorded it yet, the face paint would be perfect for the last 2 chapters 13/14. Also those were launched the same day so they are intended to be watched together.
Coach, they explained Plan B right before you asked if Ego had already explained it. But in essence, it was basically moving almost all their team, 10 out of 11, back to their own side of the field to defend. Basically, just fill their side with players so the U20 cannot move easily, and try to keep them from scoring in the first half. Lots of teams use similar strategies, but it is a bit more important here because Blue Lock does not have Bona fide defenders, so if the U20 puts more players in attack, Blue Lock would be in trouble with normal numbers.
@ no worries man, that’s understandable. They were very enjoyable to watch; your attention to detail was appreciated. I’m sure your channel will grow and hopefully they can come back at some point. Thanks for getting back👍💪
You were consistently and notably more critical of haikyu’s animation throughout than you have been with Blue Lock season 2. Why is that? Many scenes in the episodes you’ve watched recently are despite have good drawing still images with special effects added to simulate movement. Yet you seem almost reluctant or unwilling to readily address this. Or when you see janky CGI. As a sports anime the majority of this season of BL is honestly abysmal. Even compared to season one i don’t quite understand how you are as critical of the lack of actual movement. I understand that it’s isn’t entirely terrible as I do agree that the music is quite good for the most part but the lack of constant, fluid animation ruins the game for the most part. Anyway I’m glad to see you’re still enjoying it, that’s all that really matters.
Most animation critiques he had of Haikyuu and KNB were when things were disproportionate. This seems to take him out of the viewing experience. For example, he typically dislikes seeing a background person bigger than a foreground person, or a ball being too large relative to the player (which he did point out earlier this season). Because stills with high quality drawings are being used, everything remains within realistic proportions (for the most part). Therefore his main irk in animation is not as prevalent as the previous series that had more fluid motion
@ True i can appreciate that you’re right in saying his main irk with animation hasn’t been so prevalent this season. However he calls himself a former animator and even non animators have recognised and called out the lack of fluid movement in this season. And from what I’ve seen from watching anime/cartoons etc movement is a big if not the biggest part of this kind of medium. So in my opinion when he fails to point out glaring flaws in the animation from that or any other perspective at best it just makes his reactions seem disingenuous at worst i question his credibility in his acclaimed field. At the end of the day this is a sports anime and the movement we see as they play football is extremely limited (for the most part). I understand why that’s the case given how intentionally stringent/lazy the studio have been for the most part but it’s still not good enough. S2 Blue Lock cannot be compared in terms of animation quality to most things that came out this season let alone other top sports anime some which are even decades old at this point.
@@N0U6122 If you want to see someone criticise S2 of Blue Lock you can go watch almost any other reaction. Personally, I got pretty sick of the negativity pretty quickly and am more than happy to see a positive reaction. Or you can keep watching and shouting into the endless void of the internet that Donnie isn't doing something you want. You do you
@ it’s quite obvious that he’s willing to criticise bad animation, for whatever reason he just refuse to critique BL season 2 with as much diligence. It doesn’t take a genius or professional to realise that a sports a anime with a top selling manga shouldn’t have constant still images with speed lines as ‘animation’ for arguably one of the most pivot matches of the series. I’ll never understand why people like you think ‘negativity’ is synonymous with criticism. Most people say the animation is bad for good reason. And It makes no difference to me if this creator fails to neglects to mention the bad animation. I was only ever asking why he did so, please refer back to my original comment. I’m glad people like you and him can enjoy this level of animation maybe next he’ll react to 7DS or TON and you’ll both love that too lol.
Hi, its my first time watching one of your videos, some tips: Make cuts on the episode to make the episode and video more dynamic, it also decreases the preassure of the person speaking to always be filling the gaps in more dead moments like 3:38 for example... That information is good for you to see but in a youtube video that needs to be cut for more action or plot driven moments. You tried your best to add things but it felt a dead moment despite your efforts. You have good charisma and good communication skills, you just need that technical push in editing to have better videos. I wish you sucess!
I understand that you want to be helpful, but as someone who has watched his videos for years, I quite like the longer (~30min) content. Because it seems to get the best retention rates, there are a whole heap of youtubers filling every second with high octane content. It can be a bit overwhelming. This channel is where I come to chill, and essentially just watch an anime alongside Coach Donnie. If he wants to grow his channel and make more money from YT, he probably should cut the dead space. But if this is just a chill side-gig outside of his coaching jobs, I personally like the niche he fills
19:15 i like how u asked what plan b was right after they were just explain it in front of u 😂
love how every time glam guy says something they add an echo lol
Karasu’s ability was explained earlier in the season. He’s able to hold the ball well and he focuses on people’s weaknesses

That’s some next level detail I misded

Ohhhhh my boy shidou at the end looking diabolical
Hehehe

Haha great suggestion! What kind of face pace??
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000 the one you suggested in the video sounded great, small Japan flag on one side, small blue flag on the other
I agree you should make 13 and 14 one episode
It's just not possible to watch 13 and not watch 14 😂
Please please please Coach, watch and release EP 13 and 14 together. They're basically 1 episode
Dude, I love your reaction videos. Never stop!

bro how do you only have 9k subs lol unreal
you deserve so much more
get ready for the future episodes those are the real hype
Aside of the half-baked animation it's good to see you enjoying the show, let Isagi cook
Plan B was them putting almost the whole team on defense to keep the lead
it really turns up this 2nd half get ready 🔥
23:53 idk if this is true but I think it’s because karasu says things like schmoes and dum dums and in Japanese he says bonga
I can't wait to see shidou on action! And also, coach I recommend watching episode 9/10 and episode 13/14 together!
Are the rest of the JJK reactions on Patreon?
No, sorry. Unfortunately since the JJK videos didn't seem to gather much interest, I've stopped reacting to it

I think you should watch episode 13 and 14 together for the experience but separate them into two youtube videos if you'd like👍
