In my opinion, Hiori is slightly faster than Lorenzo. I would recall chapter for evidence but my arms hurt but I might edit my comment. But Hiori definitely dusted Lorenzo in speed at least twice
100% but as i stated in my Lorenzo vs Sae vid, Lorenzo has a weird physicality where he is weak and slow but with an agility over 9000

@@blessinganwana9854 i think he means physically weak. As in would struggle in a body press from someone like kunigami. Which is why he uses his agility and style to take the ball before situations like that are possible.
@@gsmoke9630 I mean it does mean something but I can understand where you’re coming from. Also Hiori had an unexpected play-style and understood Lorenzo’s weakness. I think Hiori understood Lorenzo more than Lorenzo understood Lorenzo.

I think Charles vision should be called or some form of roulette meta vision, both his eyes and his play style suit this name. Finding the most dangerous passes yet having a higher possibility of failing, Charles contrarian nature suit a roulette very well.
Charles meta vision is the normal meta vision pattern Snuffy and everyone else has and is shown in chapter 254. This “roulette” is using a passing eye to find the best passing timing / pass course similar to predator eye being used to find the best shooting timing / shot course.

Really good breakdown and I’m pretty much with you. A couple things I’ve thought about the last couple months though is first Charles passing ability reminds me of a kind of MF version of Predator Eye. He analyses the field and picks out the most dangerous course kind of meme.
The second thing I’ve been thinking about is in regards to physical stats. We continuously see people like Isagi and Hiori with lower values on speed but they keep blitzing faster players time and time again. I imagine it all comes down to reaction speed vs raw speed which comes from their reflexive movement.
Personally, I think Isagi has closed the gap physically to most other BL players during the NEL to a point where it’s negligible but I get that most people would find that hard to believe just because they had a decent advantage and it’s not like a Rin or Barou (just for example) are lazy in the slightest. So I would have to argue unlocking Meta vision gave Isagi some kind of power boost like the 8 inner gates or something (which makes no sense) or he has thoroughly out worked other payers that have been training just as much as him. I would say thought that Isagi is super close to a Kaiser type in speed, lower body stg and core stg but he doesn’t work at all on arms and shit so his character model doesn’t do him favors.
One funny meme about that though is right before the Ubers match Isagi is warming up and does a little jump where it looks like he has about a 45 inch vert. I’m sure the author was just being excessive there though since he only shows a feat close to that when he blocks Chris Prince’s shot. If he could actually get up like that normally I’m sure Hiori would try to get him to do more mid air battles, lol.

W video as always man, I just have one thing to say. In the middle of chapter 254, when hiroi try to stop Charles for the fist time and fail, we see Charles with the normal MV pattern. Since we've never seen isagi having the normal MV pattern, I'm assuming Charles's eyes are something else. Imo, I Think it's some kind of predator eye, but for passing, allowing the user to see the mosg effective pass course. But we'll probably have an answer soon anyway

I think Charles has sukunahikona which is his second eye as the design is very similar and even the small circle in the middle for kawaki it’s to shrink and grow objects for Charles is to shrink his passes to the very extreme being near impossible shown against kaiser and ness thanks to his contrarian ways and at the same time increase the chances for a super goal depending on who is receiving the pass

Why didn’t you mention Karasu when discussing Hiori’s dribble? He used the exact same technique and moves we saw Karasu use in 3rd selection. Pre-BL in the light novel it’s said Hiori studied Karasu intensely bc he was interested in him.
i didn't feel it was relevent and besides Hiori improved it way passed what Karasu can do

I just think the use of hands to use the opposite defender’s center of gravity against them and propel himself is pretty technical/tactical and useful going up against Charles who has less physicality and less experience. I think that helps Hiori edge a bit with his above average physique a bit (Olympian genetics + youth academy + 6’0ft tall + black in a manga (jk lol)).
The one stop Charles had was very good he did achieve on his own, but it was still a ‘blindside from behind’ type thing when Hiori was focused on offense; same way Rin stopped Kaiser, and Hiori stopped Rin. I don’t think in these three scenarios (add Niko x Raichi) it would result in a stop, or at least not the same type of stop yk?

hey bro do you think Isagi is overated , I had a debate with one of my friends and they telling me that isagi is a better striker than barou.(ok maybe im exaggerating a bit but i feel people are ignoring how good his teammates are expescially when his whole thing is using teammates) you cant ignore his collarbar of teammate when he uses them to score . its like ignoring that shidou had sae on his side when he scored in U 20
He 100% i think he is amazing but i sometimes hate how fast he improves it diminishes the feel of his new weapons, take protagonist feeling for example, it's an insane weapon but gets foreshadowed by MV because they basically happened at the same time

Its not capitalizing opportunities with teammates but capitalizing opportunities with Isagi specifically (as of current point of time)
The problem with Hiori is if he actually has a teammate that can read his plays otherwise his passes aren't going to connect.
As of right now basically no one can keep up with Isagi's ideas except Hiori and vice versa. Rin/Kaiser in their attempt to stop Isagi, they had given up on trying to read the game and instead do what Barou does by tracking Isagi's movements pouncing on the opportunities he creates.
Not saying Charles is flawless as his issue is his personality. He's not going to make easy passes and so needs a teammate like Shidou who is as much of a risk taker as he is.
Both midfielders have weaknesses of needing players of the same mindset otherwise both are basically playing handicapped.
The fact Charles is a better individual player makes him a better choice on a random team than Hiori.
You'd only pick Hiori over Charles if you know that your team already includes Isagi or someone near his level of in-game foresight

Bro couldn't even get on the pitch without Isagi. If Isagi never said anything in the Ubers game Jin would have been subbed on when Noa came off.
Due to Noa's philosophy, Kiyora Jin is a better player than Hiori without proper teammates.
So if Jin is rated more highly than Hiori then how is Charles, a stater for PXG and their best original player, worse than Hiori without proper teammates?
Not only that, prior to the Bastard Munchen game, the PXG system never played Shidou and Rin at the same time.
This indicates that Charles had been playing without Shidou, and performing (since none of the Blue Lock players had a significant price increase in the game Rin scored a hattrick).
This shows that Charles can perform without Shidou whereas Hiori has only performed with Isagi.
Therefore how the hell did you come to the conclusion that Hiori performs better without Isagi than Charles without Shidou?
And if we were to assume that all Charles/Hiori had were absolute garbage teammates then this should be a complete point for Charles because he's a better individual player than Hiori.
@@colonelcider8292 yes charles does work fine with rin too, but just because we haven't directly seen hiori work with anyone else than isagi, doesnt mean he cant do it. based on their attitudes and playstyles, its safe to assume that hiori is more versatile with different types of players, mainly strikers. we see that he says that he is open to working with more than JUST isagi, whereas with charles, he didnt have a choice, being that rin was the only striker at those times. your argument here is basically "well we havent seen it so he cant".
I don’t agree defensively Hiori has way better feats. Albeit Charles deserves credit for his interceptions, hiori has numerous blocks including the one on rins shot which would’ve been a goal. Hiori is a better defender imo

Does anyone notice how hiori and isagi aura are similar look at 4:08 were isagi has his puzzle peaces coming off his body and hiori has the broken glass coming off its like there body is made of puzzle/glass and it shatters to symbolize there awakenings/level ups
there is a panel at the end of Ch 237 where Hiori and Isagi's aura's mixed when they had the same idea
i think Jigsaw pieces and Shards do the same thing and that it fall into their place and build a bigger picture, the only difference Isagi is more constructive than Hiori due to Jigsaws being easier to build than welding shards
