My mother had a used 1950 Packard I grew up in. An awesome straight 8 engine and "tank". Stopped production two years before I was born, I too am sad to see it Go and glad the site will have a better future as production never resumed and there's not many reminders of Packard anymore. Few if anybody knows what a pecker is, I imagine if you ask the person on the street.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is the present to prepare for the unknowns of tomorrow.

Heaven forbid, we have INDUSTRIES or Manufacturing of WHAT WE NEED, we only assemble cars PART MFG by hater/aggressor nations, WE MAKE NO SHOES TO HATS, when we had economies of scale, GOOD JOBS, quality, in everything, sizes that fit with clothes, INDEPENDENCE, SECURITY for our nation and individuals, and A VOICE in the world, BUT HEY YOU CAN protest / riot un-freedom of criminals back out and in at us all, drugs, to perversions THE OPPOSITE OF FREEDOM for partakers and their victims. AND THE demonicratFASCISTblmarxistrinos WANT MORE REGULATIONS to send out what we have left, with lying propagandas we also pay for.

Where is all of the demolition debris being hauled to? No one talks about the massive amount of debris or whether any of it will be recycled. Maybe we can send it to Ontario, in a two way trade agreement since they are sending us their trash all the way from Toronto to deposit in Michigan landfills.

The best part of this is that Detroit will finally be permanently rid of this huge deteriorated eyesore. Most of these old factories are too deteriorated and their floor plates are too costly to convert to different uses. The Packard plant is too huge to successfully redevelop and reuse. It is basically an obsolete relic from the industrial era.

All taxpayers money. We see no private companys want to invest in a place like Detroit.

Whenever a company goes bankrupt to be a Oil Service Company or a coal mine with tailing dams. Borrowed money to build the place borrowed money to do the business and no money to pay the borrowed money back when you shut down means no money available to clean up after you're done. This is nothing compared to the millions of unplugged oil wells venting methane across the country and in the Gulf of Mexico. The pretty girls on the Yachts have all died of old age and gone too, any money. Mountains of debt left and never paid, retirements, cleanup, and promised eternal vigilant maintenance are all excused by bankruptcy and profiteering. Mountain top removal in Appalachian County dumped into their creeks to get the coal on top of the mountain, Alberta Tar Sands.
Your retiring Nuclear powerplant with cheap weapons-grade plutonium production rather than power too cheap to meter requiring billions of dollars to clean up over the next century with not one watt produced.
Our gift to the generations that replace us, who will continue the tradition.

Gotta start somewhere. At least once it’s torn down, nature can take over for free.
