Thank you for joining in!! I love sharing all of the unique spaces that are out there that people might not always necessarily think to visit. Sometimes those smaller attractions are the best ones. Other times I like to go to mainstream things and show people what they are like so that they can see what to expect whenever they visit. No matter where I am, though my goal is always to get people to think outside of the box and get out there and do some fun things, so thank you so much for being the best best part of the channel
Shreveport has a lot of hidden gems. If I could only recommend one of them it would be the Shreveport Water Works Museum.
If you haven't already seen it, it is an amazing piece of unique history.

You remind me of the time when we had a blow-up wading pool and tarp set up out back for my 1 1/2 year old daughter, just starting to speak a few words. A Big gust of wind came up and picked up the whole awning, splayed the aluminum poles, and my daughter looks at me frightfully and proclaims "oh no, it's winding!"😉 😍

I have a metal roof on my cabin and it’s 100 years old so no insulation. I actually love the sound of rain on my metal roof.
I really enjoy the sound of rain as well. I normally listen to it whenever I try to go to sleep because it’s very calming.

I just came out of some weeks in the So Cal deserts, and that return to green hills and live oaks leafing out is just so refreshing!
Absolutely that’s why I wanted to travel in the direction that we did this year because I really wanted to be able to see the blooming trees and plants as they kind of organically started to come together and show off
I have a thought about insulating your van. Could you use double sided tape, i.e., carpet tape, on the ceiling and walls? It would not be permainate like drilling holes.
No anything that goes over the wiring inside the back of the van would be considered me voiding the warranty. The stipulation is that I cannot touch the electrical system itself in any way shape or form in a way that they could not work on it so covering it is out of the question.

There's an awesome seafood restaurant just 10 mile or less from the Texas border that we ate at. Recommend it.

a little is okay but what we experienced was crazy... it just rained and rained and rained...lol
I was in Shreveport last June-begining of Sept for work. On the Fri of Father's Day weekend, we lost power at work redoing a Walmart. It was crazy with no power & seeing all the food gone bad.
That sounds not so bueno

I have not been there in many years. I generally don't mind the rain so like You I would not let precipitation stop me eigther !

Consider in each state stopping at a National Park site whether a historic site, park, presidental home or widelife refuge. They always have a nice (dry/warm) visitor center & walk/trail. Recommend you come early cause 2-3 hours may not be enough.
I actually do that and pretty much every state that I visit. That’s the whole point of my channel. My goal is to educate others about all of the incredible things that they have available out there that people can see from the small things like this to the larger things.
The Craftsman era. It was a time of creativity and arts now gone.
I think there are still some wonderful creatives out there but when it comes to architecture it is much different...but that is why places like this are so important to keep alive and going!!
