'What is sex?' - talk by Darian Leader (17th September 2022)

This talk explores questions of sexual practice, and how these are shaped by childhood interests and anxieties. After the early work of second wave feminist thought challenged many popular psychoanalytic dogmas, have we made much progress today in thinking about sexuality, apart from endlessly repeating a few cliches and fetishising some loopy mathemes?

Hello,
I was able to watch this video 2 weeks ago using French subtitles.
I am a psychoanalyst in Paris, very interested in the research of D. Leader, but unfortunately not very English speaking!
This week, I couldn't get the French subtitles. It seems to be intrinsic to the video according to the computer experts consulted.
Could you, if it is possible for you, restore the possibility of French subtitles?
The way in which D. Leader innovates in psychoanalysis interests me enormously. At my humble level, my conception of analysis is close to mine.
In any case, thank you very much for all the videos and books of D. Leader!

To me, sex, regardless of age is about hormones. Babies come into this world wired with sexual hormones. No one will achieve a successful psychoanalysis until they can confront their sexualuality and all it involves. It's fabulous that someone is courageous and willing to begin a long overdo dialogue.
