For anyone thats wondering. T4/T4.2 is what fits 00-05 Celicas. If you took the OEM ones & measured it, it would be 10mm wide. (T3 is 8mm. T4.7/T5 is 12mm.) T4/T4.2 is 8mm & it should fit your Celicas. I suggest doing what he did tho... converting those 194 leds into T4/T4.2. Its brighter & it wont die out on you fast. Good luck!
Thanks for this video, my left side bulb is out also. I pulled it all apart but wasn't sure how to replace it and certainly didn't think about putting amber lights inside instead, thanks for the idea.
I'll just get the original bulb and replace them....they have lasted 15 years and i don't get blinded......thank you for showing how to disassemble.....
I could’ve done that too but I rarely find 03+ Celicas in the junkyards and they’re the ones with the orange bulbs. Besides the LEDs are brighter too 😎
Hey bro. You can out clear silicone on the back of the plate over that other hot spot. It will diffuse the light a lil bit but won't show up on the other side like a shadow.
Just did mine a few months ago with a couple T4 neowedge bulbs (same size as OEM). They are already failing XD. Taking these 194s and retrofitting them is a great idea! I think i'll try that now. I don't like how mine only have the one LED chip. Did you also replace your rear defogger, A/C, and cigarette lighter bulbs too, or are the 2 LEDs just that bright?
@@equinoxgts oh okay. I thought you did since mine are more of a white/greenish color. Some years must have been different. I think you can actually remove the cig lighter bulb. Not sure what size it is though.

I got evap code too, every single time a fill the gas tank, then start the car" the car idles for 2 seconds then it dies. For it not to die, i need to drive immediately so it won't die on me, or just rev the car at 2k for a little while. Any idea what can it be? I replaced the gas cap and still nothing.
Hate Me B1tch it could be a leaky hose. Google the code and see what some of the fixes are. Start with the cheapest/easiest one. Does it die only after you fill up?
When wrapping the led wires around the original bulb adapater did you cut the wires to make them smaller? im having difficulty wrapping the wires around bulb adapter i tried once nd it didnt work:/ any advise?
Also i have tested these led bulbs nd they work but unfortunately i think the way the wire is going on the orignal bulb adapter isnt correct or maybe the wires must be pushed down all the way and curved perfectly?🤔

If you have the sunroof one, there’s gonna be one screw, then just pry the plastic over off and that’s it! Check out the sunroof assembly replacement video I have, I show how to get to the sunroof which starts by removing the map lights and such

Maybe you didn’t plug everything back in? The leds also have a specific way with how to light up. Try turning the leds around so the prongs switch sides and see if that works.
@@equinoxgts Went over all my work with no issues, I have a feeling a wire has burnt somewhere, because the automatic transmission lights aren't lighting up when my headlights are on. I will take it to an auto electrician and let you know what they say.
@@equinoxgts just curious had them in my old Celica but after 2months they began to flicker and burnt out. Couple of people had the same problem back in the day in newcelica forum but that was 08 maybe they just got better quality. Great vid btw also you should get a trd/sport m gas lid would go great on the celica

What I did was going to a junkyard and take all the bulbs from all celicas there in case some are burned out and now I have tons of spares lol

Doing this is pretty much a must to replace these bulbs. If you use the housing that comes from the seller it won’t fit.

You can put in a streetglow led 6 inside in between the brackets it’s works. In on the celica hobby page. Brighter n can pic from multiple colors too

Yup, that’s why I bought another set of leds with 5 chips.
And no I didn’t replace cig lighter or the defogger/ac, those are soldered on.

Yea the 00-02 were green and the 03-05 were orange
my dashboard doesnt work on my celica what can i dooo 😫😫😫 it only marks the gas and the check engine but not the rest
Try checking your fuses first or it could be that the bulbs have burnt out.
You should try to do a 7 color led changing one

If you bought the same ones from the link in the description you shouldn’t have any problems with the wires.

Equinox i tried all of that to no avail, all plugged in etc. LEDs were all working before putting it all back together.

Happened to me too I did the research and we burned the 2SK2231 mosfet in the cluster circuit board. Need to be replaced
