- Introducing 'Be Safe Daddy', the seventh and final of a series of telephone calls that The Duchess held with participants from the Hold Still project.
The calls, which took place last autumn saw The Duchess speak to a number of the 100 finalists who shared their experiences of life during the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK by submitting an image to Hold Still.

This one made me cry. The impact on families, but especially on children, is very important to remember. Catherine, with her usual compassion, talked directly to the child as well as her Mom. Beautiful picture to include. It was a perfect snapshot about families, children's fears, 1st line responders and love. ❤❤❤

What a wonderful conversation. Catherine is so natural, so authentic. I love to hear her talking to those families and their stories. She has such a special way to speak with children and also the parents. You can feel that this project is so important to her. It is a great idea to get portraits of people in various living conditions. An excellent way to catch the feelings and emotions everybody in a way has to cope with.
God speed to this family and many many others of first responders and medical staff. Thanks for loaning them for humanity's sake.

Another beautiful story from the Duchess to adorable Poppy and her dad. Heartwarming between a father and their child. Fathers are special to their daughters, and her mum is a wonderful mother as well.

I must say that Duchess Catherine has a very compassionate heart..💙 She has a warmth tone in children a very rare talent to connect easily to a child..it must be because she's very hands on mum but I love hearing all these beautiful stories it really is an inspiration... Oh my this one had me in tears too. Poppy and Mila both so strong. I just ordered the book here in the US because I think it's important I document for my son what we lived through since he was 7 months old at the start of lockdown.
Wow, that's a good idea. Hold Still is really a good book to remind people what they have gone through and help young children to understand the pandemic and how people have overcome the many difficulties with perseverance and love.
This is another excellent picture. Great conversation with Poppy. Child has great manners. Love how the Duchess was so concerned that Poppy didn't talk to her friends about being sad. That she made sure she followed up the question with asking if she spoke with her parents. Love these phone calls shows Duchess isn't just into the picture but the stories and people behind them.

I wouldn’t have classed myself as a royalist before but after everything being thrown your way lately my heart goes out to you and I appreciate what you do for this country. I like the way The Duchess is patient with mum and little girl allowing them to speak without interrupting. At the same time asking them open ended questions to encourage them to continue talking. She is very competent!!!!

I don't know what kind of mentality that certain people have to dislike a wonderful video like this. I saw the same in the previous "Hold Still" video chats.
These videos are so special - the stories of the people, and the warmth, empathy and compassion of the Duchess of Cambridge - make for very poignant viewing. The way she loves children is beautiful.

If you have any idea what it is like to have warm, loving stories without any political or “social” negativity I will tell you....it means so very much to those of us who are homebound and don’t have a lot of interaction.
