“This is MY song.” - Tom
I love how when they start Dammit Travis immediately speeds it up like 200% and by the end it’s like 300%.
Travis was like get me tf off this stage as fast as possible
props to Travis for keeping up with his bandmate's temper
A few millions extra helps
He controls the tempo of the freaking songs
I think this is the most energetic post-90's blink show I've ever seen. Breaking up and internal tension really does help a band's performance sometimes, huh?
Last Sex Pistols show was also amazing, just to give you an example that you may be into something... 3 years later.
Rip blink 182
This is they last show before hiatus :(
Well, until 2009, of course lol
They put everything they had into this performance. The heart, anger, malice. Absolutely raw and unfiltered. As punk as blink could ever get- on top of being the final show of the tour. Really beautiful stuff as toxic as it was. They will never match this performance again.
beautifully said
What makes it better is that it's being recorded by one person, no professional cameramen, makes the energy feel even more raw.
I don’t think it was scheduled as the last performance
1:01:52 holy crap he actually sang that part like that live
He was angry 😤
Evanage and that’s amazing I’ve been looking everywhere for him to do that
Sounds great!
@@lofer9138 i think it's the only concert where he sings SS like that.
@@CarlosPerez-xf7yz can someone explain what? I mean I dont get it really... what is special on this part of song
Also can’t believe it’s been this long since a real blink show. Even when Tom came back it wasn’t the same… his voice was different, he changed all of his amps and they didn’t suit blink.

And what’s my age again?
You forgot Mark's Drum Solo
Wow I didn’t know they played mutt then.
Feeling This just felt like Mark and Tom screaming at each other
This show has some of the best vocals from both Tom and Mark in their entire careers
I hate every single one of your comments.
I think Tom sounds better today than he sounded here. But I love the speed of the entire band here.
tom was just extremely pilled out in all of these 2003-2004 shows. its really obvious with how unaware he is
I wouldn't say "extremely pilled out", he injured his back in 2002 and that's when he was on them extensively. He did say they kind of lingered and he went into withdrawal.
@@donbeck8835he’s high as fuck
In the middle of all of this, I feel like Travis just wants the show over and done with so they can argue and swear at each other NOT in front of 20,000 fans. Yikes, what a sad time for the band.
ive never got to see blink but from all the shows i've seen on youtube i think that is and camden show are the best, and i love how mark sang the bridge of stockholm syndrome. my favorite song ever
I was at this show and only now realised this was the last one before they broke up. I can't believe it was 19 years ago.
This video should be...cultural history.
Play this in history class
@@BecomingAMan I could talk for hours about Blink's existence from inception to the 05 breakup..
@@kalevader I could listen for hours tbh
Blink and you'll miss it
@@kalevaderi could listen, ive been down a huge blink rabbit hole recently and I think im driving some people nuts, lol, but ive been watching as many vids and old documentaries as I can lol.
I noticed how Mark hopped up to Tom then retreated from the idea so much tension it’s painful
This show seemingly brought the best out of the both Tom and Mark…..albeit both of them were clearly pissed off at this point. Sorta adds to what this show was, just pure raw emotions. Even Travis was done with by the end, he sped dammit up x3 lol.
😭😭😭 i wish they could start back here and give us those 20 years back 😭😭😭
I also love how Travis threw 6 pairs of drum sticks in the crowd and still had enough to drum with lol
Yay onstage banter what makes blink-182 who they are
1:01 "Tom LEAVE when you wanna"
more like 1:11 Tom - 'I'll leave when i wanna"
That’s quite the catch - don’t know how you noticed it but that’s definitely what’s going on. 😂
@@Falconetti182 it wasn't my catch, it has not been confirmed, but it is believed that Mark was saying that on those last shows. There is an interview where Mark says, regarding this specific show, that he could feel the end was near.
I love how Travis always does drums solos to hip-hop songs
And if you don’t want it to be this way, I want you all to call our manager Rick Devoe - MH
EASY TARGET SOUNDS WICKED
Happy to see that their last show (for 5 years) was in the glorious land of Erie.
The tension here
This definitely feels unnecessarily sped up.
They all just wanted it to be over with, they hated eachother at that point, lol, with travis stuck in the middle
Quick question everyone, why did Mark do a verse on Boxcar’s “Elevator” if he didn’t like Tom being in that band?
Supposedly it was as in a way of making peace with the whole thing. Tom invited mark, mark sang and buried the hatchet. For some time at least.

Tbh even though they may not admit it, I bet they were tired after touring for long long periods for several years, having families and pressures from record companies couldn't of been any easier

I want to know what the next album would have sounded like if they stayed together, but I honestly love AVA more now as I grow older than Blink.
I pretty much just combined the best tracks off of When Your Heart Stops Beating and We Don’t Need to Whisper into one playlist(except for No It Isn’t, Lycanthrope, and Chapter 13, which all pretty much talk about Tom and the death of blink-182). I reckon that Tom’s sound would be more dominant again
Best show of theirs ever
Violence,I swear they haven’t got any onstage banter this just shows how awkward the tension was there
I never got why the broke up…? Like tension built up when mark was not invited into boxcar or something then Tom started to get onto his nerves because Tom was on pills? ?? What happened?
Boxcar was a part of it. Tom also wanted to take a break from touring to spend time with his family while Mark & Travis didn’t need to at the time. He talks about it here:
ruclips.net/video/Il5VXjbQGNg/видео.html
Basically the first time they broke up was a snowball effect from a chain of events.
Tom and Travis made an album without Mark, and Mark felt left out (although he was on the final song of that album). That album was meant to be a personal adaptation for Tom and experimental.
They made the untitled album, but tensions built around that tour. Mostly towards the end when Tom wanted to take time off and spend time with family and his baby daughter at the time. But he continued demoing and Mark kind of saw that as his way out.
I guess tensions would boil backstage about these things and harsh things would get said. I don't know about Mark, but Travis was battling addiction, and Tom was sort've still on pills following his back injury, or at least in the withdrawal period, and that could have fueled some of the tensions.
Need a proshot of this
Best version of violence ever.
The best blink 182 will ever be.
Obvious performed extremely quietly for Tom’s vocals he’s playing louder than he’s singing
God i hope they come back to dublin. I had no idea they played in ireland before the first break up. unfortunately i was 3 years old when this show was on lol
There coming back baby 😃😃
@@markoryan12mr just got my tickets 🎉
I can't get them till tomro 😥
Is it just me or does the bridge of Stay Together For The Kids kinda have a bit of a One More Time (song) tone to it.
00:29 "Tom, leave when you wanna"...
😳
I saw them in Birmingham this tour and they weren't good at all. They barely even interacted with the audience at that gig and as soon as one song ended they started the next. I was so disappointed.
39:36
Mark almost sounded like he wanted to cry there
im the 182nd comment
There’s me thinking Tom was actually going to sing the whole of reckless abandon but he made Mark sing the bridge
I swear Mark doesn’t do backing vocals in reckless abandon
Considering this was their last show before their hiatus there’s little to no arguing heard between them all must’ve all been done backstage
Can’t be right!
The documentary shows Mark in a completely different shirt for their last show.
Which one ?
Asthenia I did wonder if I was going mad or not but I managed to remember the title
I miss you surely yeah it is
How dare Mark say Tom’s playing is like vomit
Then they played the end of dumpweed what’s this show becoming I thought 2009 shows weee weird but this 2004 end of year show is mad
Travis isn’t going to do another drum solo is he?
And Travis’ drum solo time yes
Dysentery Gary lol I knew what this song straight away
So the guy lifting weights onstage was called Miley and they played Josie for him because Travis asked Mark to do it haha
Mark went to sit on the other side of the stage but isn’t pissed odd with Tom? Urm I felt a bit of awkward tension there lol
Haha nice dancing Tom
Then they went into Man overboard as part of their random medley I thought they only did medleys with Matt in the band here’s proof I’m wrong
Wish this was proshot
Haha
Mark:Hi my name’s Mark and I play the bass(twice Said)
Tom:you’re a good bass player too
Me:yep I agree with Tom
No wait they did go see Tom as well as Mark the fans who jumped onstage lol almost as crazy as any green day show
Tom realised Travis played a song he sings haha Mark’s not too cocky now when Travis purposely played mutt
Mark’s posture is almost as bad as Tom’s
Stockholm syndrome with interlude
33:54 you can tell how much tension there is
:O yes
I wonder which song Tom wanted to play instead
@@kelvinambrosio8336 they played it afterwards it was mutt
@@kelvinambrosio833634:08 I know you already got your answer but notice too Tom starts playing Mutt first then the next chord I think he fixes up to Go.
ETA the way Tom observes what's happening at 10:15 and walks away is hilarious
I think its fair to say during the interlude they had some sort of words/argument. They both came out like firecrackers in the last two songs and you can hear the anger wow.
It sounds like the video cuts out at the end, when Mark talks about contacting their manager Rick DeVoe. Anyone know what else he said there?
@@George182HD could you share the link of this topic? I'm digging some old shit these days
@@allkive www.reddit.com/r/Blink182/comments/2tzyz4/tom_should_fire_his_manager/
@@camigeorge thank you
Tom and Mark clearly hated each other here. Between the banter (if you even want to call it that) and speed they're playing the songs, you can see it.
Glad they buried the hatchet, but still. Oof.
i can feel the malice in this show
I came here to feel the awkward band tension more than anything and to wish Mark a happy 50th birthday for today
33:54 :(
Damn!!! :(
Jir
I was there. Like 12 years old. mind blown.
Tom sounds so good love 2004 blink 182
Crazy, you can feel the anger
they were telling us … “20 years now lost”
The way they played obvious was amazing
Toms solo intro was very special! He had that whole crowd in the palm of his hand.
i was at this.. this is where travis plays drums in the crowd.. i was probably 10-15 feet away damn.
Did you and the crowd sense something was off?
@@AndyTolly123 the atmosphere
I was right beside it too. Didn't he come up from underground?
Unpopular opinion, but playing the songs at 2x speed doesn’t make them sound better
Its for the time of the concert
@@venanciozaragozaIIIan hour and 10 minute set is fairly short
It made sense earlier that year when touring with No Doubt, but not towards the end. This is the only time they are very clearly storming through the song, as if they’re getting the show over with
Why does Mark always sing his verse of I miss you so quietly? And Tom sings his verse so melodically
Potentially because the melody is a bit low for him
Because his verse is an octave below
1:07:58 RIP Sid
00:31 Mark: Tom leave when you wanna😥
@@TGCampbell8 yes everyone knows the lyrics. It’s alleged that mark sang it different
Amazing that I have the chance to see this, even if the quality is not the best.
This show: ruclips.net/video/b1I4TLV5kq4/видео.html
is my favorite Blink live performance ever and the quality is slightly better.
Best sound here
About the only blink-182 show where they just got on with the songs feeling this into easy target
this version of violence sounds so badass
You can hear current tom here! He was at this point trying to get out of the emo tom phase!
Emo Tom and backwards hat Tom were forces to be reckoned with lol
@@plaguedoctor4519I love that summary of Tom 😂 emo Tom and backwards hat Tom lmao. So accurate
Back when Tom did song ALL of reckless abandon and not get Mark to sing the first line and this very fast as well
Comment number 182 😊
OY M8 THIS HITS BRUV ❤
Oh no Mark is going to play Travis’ drums yes Mark doing a drum solo haha epic
Violence sound so good here
damn /:
Yes all the small things now Tom can’t fob anyone off for not singing the whole song
Haha Tom got Doug to give him another guitar too soon there and then immediately they play first date Travis must’ve been so confused there
I think I know why Tom formed angels&airwaves now it wasn’t for another challenge it was so he could sole control on a band
???
Actually, he took time off to be with family, but the blink damage was already done. He wasn't going to stop doing music but he wasn't down for extensive touring back to back.
I expected a lot more tension during dysentery Gary but no and Tom played the wrong note apologised and got booed for it lol
