As someone who is not really a fan of constant growling i really like that i can finally hear Melissa singing all the time and not beeing interrupted by annoying growling ever 10 seconds.
(Disclaimer : yes i know thats a bit over exaggerated, but i hope some people get what i mean)
For the same reasons i also really liked the last 2 Ayreon videos with Simone, but i also must say the new Epica video has a good balance where Simone is not constantly killed by growls and too loud shredding.
Jon - they did a full live play through of their album from Cologne in Germany on Friday. The stream is on Napalm Records' channel.
Thanks for pronouncing Versailles correctly. It's a common trap for Americans not used to French - like mispronouncing Notre Dame as "Noter Dame". 🤦

Would love a reaction to another band that was inspired by the French palace of Versailles. They are a neoclassical Japanese metal band called Versailles Philharmonic Quintet. If you do check em out I recommend a live track.

Don't get me wrong, guys, there's nothing wrong with that band. The singing is good, the instruments are played very well. The only thing is: They don't really stand out amongst many other bands that have that style of music. I was listening to this song for the first time now but nothing really surprised me much. It's all done well, but also nothing is really unique and outstanding. Melisse is cute but that can't be the only thing about it.
Am I the only one who is wonders how the hell she hits that low guttural scream? I don’t think I can get that low and I am a man.

What I find amusing is that pretty much all the reactors to their videos know what plague Doctor masks are but can't pronounce their name or song title properly lol.
Melissa Bonny is an excellent singer, not gonna lie. I still think Jennifer Haben is better. If you want info, feel free to ask. I shall leave it up to you.
