No offense, but this is a GREAT beginner board! I'm not calling you a beginner, I just mean that any beginner looking to start building a pedalboard should start here - you've got all the basic food groups covered, really nicely laid out, and you demonstrate it all simply. Kudos!
I love seeing this .... this demo just goes to show ya that you don't need all the latest hip trendy overpriced boutique pedals to have great tone ....you can hear his great tone coming though his hands ... Great Demo , nice pedal board ...
I love that Carvin! And you have the pedals run in a very logical manner. I almost cannot use an amp without an effects loop. Some effects like the delay and chorus can really overpower and take over your tone instead of enhancing it like it was meant to. Good video.
Fantastic demo. This is perfect for people looking for help with a great all round pedal board to cover most bases, both in terms of what effects to get and position in the chain. Clear lay out and nice playing. :)
That's a Custom Audio Electronics MC401 boost pedal. It's probably one of the most transparent volume boosts out there. He's running it in the loop to get a true volume boost, instead of driving and compressing the front end of the amplifier more.
Jacques Meistersinger chorus ($140 new) and either a used Boss DD-3 for a really clean digital delay or a used Ibanez EM5 Echo Machine for a warmer analog Echoplex sound. You can probably find the Boss for $75 on craigslist pretty easily and the Ibanez (long out of production) for $75-100 on eBay if you're patient.
I actually use the exact same pedals. I use the Carbon Copy for solos and slap stuff, while the Boss is more for big ambient moods, sometimes the other way around!
You have a really nice tone but what I’ve learned in the last couple of weeks. And I’ve been playing guitar for over 30 years and I had my volume pedal like you in the front. You need to put it in the back right on the tail end.
One's analog, one's digital. Digital delays can perfectly reproduce the input signal whereas analog delays kinda decay in their own organic way. It's debatable which sound better. They're very different. Analog delays are definitely more subtle. If you stack the two like this, you can get quite a deep sound out of them.
Great demo... the Bel Air and the Nomad are amazing amps (I deeply regret selling mine) and your sound is spot-on. The beginning progression really reminds me of King's X - love it!
It's a good demo. Only suggestion I would make is to either mike the amp and stand far away or go directly into the computer as the sound of the pick hitting the strings (the "unplugged" sound) distracts from the sound coming from the speakers.
I used the same idea as you with the zip ties. I had planned to use velcro again but I saw the zip ties laying there and it was like a bulb went off in my head. I'm about to do a slide show of mine.
Damn! Your pedalboard looks so good that I thought you had bought it! ;) ok well maybe I'll consider making myself one at some point. It would be a fun project.
the Fulltone Fulldrive2 Mosfet is also an awesome overdrive pedal! it's worth a look! I got both the TS9 and the FD2 on my board, but I gotta say the FD sounds better to my ears
very nice pedal board, i like the clean chords you played in the beginning... i guess the pedals will add up costing more than buying a boss gt10 or gt100 or a POD... all personal preference... you got an awesome tone with the ACDC solo... Halen sounds very good...
+Roger Benet Hi nice demo, firstly I love the one you play starting 2:44. I also use both TS-9 and BB Preamp on my board. Can I ask, do you also use the TS-9 on its own with that setting? Or you purposely set the TS9 only for boosting the BB Preamp?
Very nice pedalboard indeed and you seem to know it very well.. The only thing I would say that may come across as negative( but I really really hope it doesn't) but I've got ask.. if your not going to use the overdrive channel on your amplifier then why not just use a cheap power amp? I there's always a ton of them on Craigslist.. it just never made since to me why someone would have a nice sounding amp but only use the clean channel.. now having said that, you've got it all figured out for sure..your selling pedals as we speak because so many people drew themselves a diagram of you board..lol.. good luck to ya..
can you put up a video to show how you have your 1 - MXR Boost/Line Drive CAE (My Volume Boost For Solos) 2 - Boss Chorus Ensemble CE-5 3 - Boss Digital Delay DD-3 4 - MXR Carbon Copy - Analog Delay 5 - Boss Digital Reverb RV-5 set up to the FX LOOP
Cara, me amarrei nesse video!
I've been taking pedalboard inspiration fom this video for years now, it's simply perfect
Ja vi esse video umas 500mil vezes.
Essa dobra TS9 stacking BB preamp é animal demais...
Loving how every pedal is there for different awesome sounding and songs! Must perform really well on live
De longe o melhor vídeo de set de pedais
Valeu Lincoln! Me segue lá no Instagram @rogerbenetofficial

Mano, este review vc fez a muito tempo atrás, mas ainda hoje é uma grande referência em questão de timbre pra mulekada comprar pedais, valeu.
Xcellent kombination BB-Preamp+Ts-9 sounds way better than most distorsion-pedals.
Very good tight rock/metal sound- like the 80ś Soldano-ish...
Because of this video, I just did a quick review of my pedalboard too. Congratulations on the video. I've watched him for about 5 years, tirelessly.
the best pedalboard demo w/ les paul guitar
Incrível o resultado da soma Ibanez TS + BB Preamp.. excelente para solos.. porém muito limpo!!

Such a nice setup.
