@FreeaimVR is revolutionizing VR locomotion with their innovative wearable shoes that allow for omnidirectional movement in virtual spaces. In this interview with VP Land, Ashley Foxcroft, the founder of Freeaim, shares insights into how their technology is transforming the VR experience for gaming, training, and beyond.
    Key Takeaways:
    - Freeaim has miniaturized VR treadmill technology into a pair of shoes, making it more accessible and cost-effective than large, expensive omnidirectional treadmills.
    - The shoes feature rotating modules underneath that enable sideways movement, allowing users to walk naturally in any direction within the virtual environment.
    - Freeaim shoes connect wirelessly to a PC via Bluetooth and are compatible with any VR headset that works with Steam, preferably wireless headsets like the Quest series.
    - A minimum space of 1.5 meters by 1.5 meters is recommended, making it suitable for most living rooms or offices.
    - The shoes work best on hard floors like tiles, vinyl, or laminate, but can also be used on low-pile carpets with a mat on top.

Interesting concept. I wished the walking looked more natural then what they showed. I also wonder if they would work with Unreal Engine directly, without the headset and other items.

I'm starting to get frustrated. Even though it's stupid. Multiple times on their own videos. They said they were going to announce the price at this trade show

We did announce it at AWE. There was a press walkthrough where we announced price and availability, then right after that Venture Beats published an article with that info. We also made a RUclips post with a link to the article. We're working on a video we'll publish on our own channel were we go over AWE and talk about what we announced there.
The main announcements were we're starting to accept orders for our business version and we're targeting to launch a consumer version next year. Right now we're thinking the consumer version will be around $1000, as that's what we can achieve as a small startup, but we're doing what we can to drive the cost down more. The business version starts at $4999.
