I just finished watching this drama, I really enjoyed it, no offences but I think this is the best drama I have seen till now, I am a k-drama addict watching them for more than 10years now. I really loved it, It made me feel like a part of their gang. It is a revisit to my teenage day. But I really cried when Yi jin and Hee do break up, as we all always hope for a happy ending for the lead couple. This drama is a reality, not every couple ends up together. Yet many couples share some great memories of them together. I don't know how many times I am gonna re-watch this series.
I think his love for her has all friendship , soulmate ,lover. He love to tease this adorable girl too. Their relationship is so pure.

Did anyone else feel a little sad when he confessed, knowing they might not be together in the future. Like I was like awww but awww. I was happy and sad. I love the friendship they had. Seeing the two characters and they journey together really make me root for them. Unless they both move past it and are both happily married.

@LMA Yup, that's how life actually is right? Some people come and go. They make a beautiful mark in your life, and then they just leave you. Even though I really want Yi Jin and Hee Do to end up together, I am really not seeing any signs that they ended up together so far. If they didn't end up together, it will be a breath of fresh air I think. Because in all the rom coms the leads end up together no matter what happens. So in this case it will be a reality check.
The feels this couple give...aww. There's no kissing or any skinship scenes ..but their combination scenes just gives my butterflies in my stomach. It's been a while I have experienced this watching a kdrama.

@@psycho8863 the real reason is still yet to unfold and be known. We still don't know what kind of twist tVN might pull for the ending but ever since Reply 1988 I've learned to expect something unprecedented from them. Who knows, they might actually be the end game (idk I'm just hopelessly hoping at this point). But I guess what I'm trying to say is that there's still no definite reason why they might not end up together for the ending because there are quite many possibilities: some theorized that he died, or that he went far away due to career purposes, or just that he or hee do found other partners in the future since they didn't work out, etc. And I'm just here going crazy thinking about it all, that's how hooked I am 🥲
i mis the days when yijin is still working at the bookstore while hee do getting the comic books through yijin huhu those days :((
what i love about them most is that they are each others safe person.

I kinda feel like they both moved on and are happily married to their significant other. Cuz, in episode 10 it triggered amnesia vibes. So i think back yijin was forced to move on because na heedo forgot about him. But, that still doesn't tell me about remembering the loach soup dinner
