He's not. He is a filler character that the anime added to canon episodes, but that does not mean he is a canon character. Only things that occur in the manga are truly canon. Jonathan of course does not appear in the manga version of this scene. As such he is not a canon character.
G8 arc was like watching light and L out smart each other from death note 😭 the way Jonathan said "checkmate" was so cold but then got outsmarted by the whole crew
>Argues that an anime only character is canon
>Proves it by using an anime episode
Is it that hard to just double check and find the manga panel ?
Doesn’t really matter? I’m sure most people have started doing anime canon and manga canon cause who cares lol
@@Dontdoit_ ok, then every filler is canon with that standard so why even mention it?
@@Dontdoit_ I'd argue that from the intro to the title of the short, the purpose of it is to prove that G8 character is canon, that's why i find it pretty useless
Oda himself approves everything that happens in anime, you really think non-canon shit would be seen in the main storyline episodes...? With that logic 90% of the anime is not canon, bc in manga they don't move etc. right? Think how stupid that sounds, Toei running wild with non-canon shit in main story episodes without Oda's approval... 😂😂 How stupid are you people...
@@Dontdoit_one Piece is no Inuyasha. There is no „Manga Canon“ and „Anime Canon“. Only what appeared in the manga can be considered canon.
bro is dripped out and a legend marine and the goat
His character was so good, that they made him canon.
Except they didnt
@@AeonKnigh432exept they did
how can a man with so much drip not be canon? show some respect!
He is *ANIME* cannon, the same way that the RustRust fruit model Crack is anime only canon.
Anime cannon doesn’t exist. It’s in the manga or it didn’t happen
Do you mean the Rust Fruit that killed one of Zoro's swords? Because that's in the manga.
@@MJM_23Anime canon does exist but that's a term used for things that Oda didn't have time to include in the manga, so told them to put it in the anime. The only anime canon things I can think of are Usopp getting his goggles in a duel with Daddy Masterson, and Sanji winning the Blue-Finned Elephant Tuna in a cooking competition with Carmen, both of which happened in Logue Town. I think the reason was because Oda wanted to finish the East Blue Saga by chapter 100, so he didn't have enough time to include them in the manga. Jonathan showing up in a canon episode doesn't make him anime canon.
@dripsoup6639 by anime canon I kind of meant how the Rust-Rust could also "Rust" people in the anime.
@@MJM_23
anime cannons definitely exist, there are a lot of them
This would mean Eric is canon since he appears in the traversing reverse mountain episode, which obvs isn’t the case
Bro has the biggest drip in all of One Piece and no one can change my mind
not in manga then not canon
Not every marine appears in the Manga as long as it does not contradict manga material additional info cannot be disqualified simply because it was not expanded via the Manga
@@OutletRthat’s not what canon means
@@OutletRYeah it can. If I make a fanfic of a marine or pirate that doesn't contradict the manga, that doesn't make it canon
@@MalchiorDhar if its fan work and not official anyway its not cannon for that reason alone, and also if they have differences but timelines and events are relatively the same then the manga and the anime can just have their own canons seeing as with this they relatively constant but not contradictory. also g8 is a good arc so the manga is worse for not having it anyway imo.
its anime canon so we good
This dude, my poor guy Smoker, and the Goat Fujitora are the only Marines I respect!
Do you understand how happy I was to know that he wasn't canon?
They escaped this man by sheer plot armor alone, if he has a Batman's worth of prep time, next time, _no plot armor will save them!_
Be glad he stays on that little island, and pray he never leaves unless you like justice!
Crazy
He is not canon, he never appears in the manga
@@_DZ_ ?
@@_DZ_ manga only isnt canon lol.
