I did the hard check and opend both tremolos. The Joyo is technically a total different thing. Joyo is an optical based tremolo. The Tremodillo is based on solid state LFO and looks like a take on the Schaller TR68. This is why the Joyo sounds smoother and the Tremodillo more choppier.
Actually it is a clone of a Demeter Tremolo pedal, which is based on the Schaller. The tremodillo is based on the old blue plastic Kay Tremolo pedal that looks like a Wah-wah and are REALLY crappy construction. I've owned all 4, I only kept the Joyo. Ha ha ha. The Demeter and the Joyo are close to indistinquishable. There is a newish clone of the Tremodillo called the Pedal Pawn Chicken Quiff which i have yet to try, but want to. @@PJandtheBeard
L.I.B. I got a Tremolo from Frank The Anvil that was a clone of the Schaller, and I liked that a lot so then I scored an old Schaller, which came with all of the papers in the box and kinda above my pay grade so it hasn't really been out of the box, and then recently I happened to buy a Diaz CD100 that sounds nice and so I got a Tremodillo just because, but still I have just been playing my little Pulse Pedal. Maybe I should break them out for a comparison, sorta random for just a coincidence here, rather curious 🤔
It’s definitely a well done tremolo at a great price. We prefer the tremodillo, but they are super expensive on the used market and the joyo is easily obtained.
Well hadn't used mine in a while and last weekend had to rearrange the music room and was plugging stuff in and trying different pedals and was having a hard time Everything sucked lol 😂 so hooked the Dillo up and Bam there it was TONE
Check out Homestead amps..he's the guy who worked w Cezar all those years and hes recreating all the pedals and makes some phenomanal amps Really good stuff and super cool guy
Got Joyo since my last year birthday. Amazing pedal, work properly. Love it!! And keep my diaz safe in the box
It’s great, but those Diaz pedals are special.
How about comparing real pedals to plug-ins? (Like Garageband). I'm curious if tremolo is easier to imitate than other effects.
That is a good idea. I am not sure we are really equipped for that but I will keep it in mind. Thanks for the suggestion and comment.
Yeah no comp plus the fast mode with the depth way down on the Diaz is very special...just adds like you say magic

Thanks for sharing! That makes totally sense as we thought they sounded very different. The Diaz has a warmth most tremolos are missing.

@@johnnyatomic1 we tried the pedal pawn pedal. It’s pretty close to the Diaz.

This brought out the gear snob in me. That Diaz is just wow! I think Goliath caught the Rock, threw it and slew David on this one.
You pretty much summed it up. I heard this pedal the first time I saw Pat play. It is amazing in the mix with a full band!
LFO seems different between them - the tremodillo being chopier - and, to my ears, the joyo sounds better.

Don’t Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks use some Homestead amps?
@@PJandtheBeard Oh yeah..Billy Gibbons has one too The 6550 loaded 100 watter is just crazy good but 3K :(
They look awesome, but you're right... pricey
4.15 to start hearing pedals
Time stamps are always in the description for your convenience. Use them… they take a long time to do. :)
If we only knew then what we know now!!
Right!!
Playing starts at 4:20... bro... **stoner laugh**
It’s the little extras that matter... :)
Do you know that cesar diaz was my uncle
We did not, but we know now that your uncle is a legend!
