Protecting Health Equity in Kidney Care - Capitol Hill Briefing

NMQF Action Network recently hosted a Protecting Health Equity in Kidney Care" Capitol Hill briefing to educate lawmakers on the critical Kidney PATIENT Act of 2023. This legislation will preserve access to innovative medicine by preventing Medicare from adding oral-only Phosphate Lowering Therapies to the End Stage Renal Disease payment bundle, which could worsen health inequities and lower the quality of care for kidney patients on dialysis.
