Another thing I’ve seen with the TAVO Next is that there are actually little flaps tucked under the leg rest that, when you fold up the leg rest and fully recline the seat, can snap to make a small bassinet. So while it’s not compatible with a bassinet attachment it does have its own little version of one :)
Absolutely, both the Nuna MIXX Next and TAVO Next stroller seats have a newborn setting for the toddler seat - while not a bassinet, it does create a newborn solution and alternative to attaching an infant car seat to the stroller for the first few months!
So one thing I’m concerned with.. is the car seat going to ruin the leather belt that is on the handlebar after a while with indenting or possibly ripping it on the Tavo Next? I wanted the Mixx Next so badly but I was worried about it being too small past the infant stage.
This should not be a concern with normal/proper usage of the car seat on the TAVO Next! Although the car seat does secure overtop the bumper bar, there is minimal contact between the car seat and bumper bar, no sharp pieces on the car seat that could cause damage, and the bumper bar cover is made of durable materials.
Is the ability to change the facing direction that important? That seems to be the only advantage of the MIXX Next over the Tavo Next. Yet it is 50% more expensive...

While a reversible (parent-facing) toddler seat isn't essential, it is a nice feature to have - the MIXX Next also has some other benefits including a compatible bassinet that's approved for overnight sleeping, a cup holder accessory for parents, and larger rear tires for smoother strolling on rough terrain. The TAVO Next seat can be reclined near-flat and the calf support can be raised to enclose the footrest area, not a bassinet at all but technically a space you can place a younger infant directly in the stroller seat in place of an infant car seat if needed.

Parent facing is for younger children i.e infants, babies. Once they sit up, they want to explore the world.
