Don’t be afraid to hit the drums harder. That’s what my worship leader at my church told me

There is massive difference between playing too softly and playing with dynamics. Dynamics is being able to play soft and controlled when it’s needed for the parts. I’m definitely not a soft hitter. Haha Most worship leaders also ask drummers to hit harder because the drums are not mixed properly in the house/monitors. Tons of drummers have developed terrible technique and habits from requests of people to hit harder.
