- So I hosted a $500 tournament in a WW2 game, but with a twist!
The players would have to go up against each other as united continents and go to total war to win the $500 in this HOI4 tournament!
The win condition is simple, if your continent wins, you get $500.

Its cool that South America is actually made into an important part of the map, especially since its normally ignored in most hoi games. But if I were change anything it would be putting the victory points a bit more inland. This would allow the countries to utilize the difficult terrain a bit more and encourage players to plan more defensively.
Also there shouldn't be a difference in how many island VP's each continent gets. Like why is it fair that north america gets midway and Havana whilst africa doesn't even get Antananarivo?
@@mappingshaman5280 True. Even though they seemed to put effort into choosing where the VPs should have been located, they seemingly forgot about a very important factor in balancing. That being the disproportionate number of VPs between the teams.
@mapping shaman Africa having two of their VPs in hard to defend areas was a little scuffed

Man Africa really played like a god, I was thinking early on that Europe was going to steam roll them after the naval invasions that were coming in. I’m glad Africa showed who was the best and took back everything and so much more!

I fr see why Africa has had so many issues from outside forces. They are literally sandwiched from all continents and have been cutoff from the world due to Sahara. It’s crazy that Africa did so well. I’m really surprised

Why don’t you use real Italians tactics in hoi4(there pretty genius)
1.Make a shit ton of light tanks with armoured cars to flank and spank the enemy
2.Use medium sized infantry divisions with artillery and flame tank(hoi4 has no flame throwers or gas to commit war crimes)
3.Go with the grand battle plan doctrine(The Italians had a great plan to win the war if it stared at the time they thought it would)
4.Make a shit ton of Cas and tactical bomber to blow up the Geneva convention
5.Make a specialist division(Mussolini actually was a big fan of these)
6.Form greater Italy not the Roman empire
7.Expand colonial empire by invading free weak countries
8.Make a lot of civilians and develop infrastructure till 1938 only make a couple of mills till then.
9.Make a specific colonial army.
Ask hilter what he thinks of italian tactics
then switch sides when losing

I imagine it's because they'd be too weak
I mean he could've put it in with the same factories and shit but they would be on the back foot with crap fronts and they'd have to do cancer naval invasions in order to have a chance.
Like they'd need enough naval strength to resist Asia Africa and Probably South America who could all fairly easily strike at them.
main reason was if i did that then asia would have 3 fronts rather than 2
i bought this game and my pc cant run it well and i dont know how to play so this is helping

what yous should have done is left the industry in a similar situation as default was. if your going to balance the industry then the strongest countries are just the ones with the most manpower. by leaving the industry unbalanced you have the European continent as the strongest in the beginning but it will lose struggle with its manpower more as it is right in the center of the world and having to fight on its borders causing higher casualties and more equipment losses. asia would then be an infinite manpower area and would never really struggle with it but having to build up its industry before being able to properly support itself. i think you could then could combine north and south America into the Americas and they would be similar to Europe just a bit weaker overall but on a much more defensible area. africa then becomes an interesting thing to balance but could be done similarly to how some of the more recent competitions were done where it is a neutral country that doesn't fight back and the other countries invade to hold some of the victory points. I do think that making it so that the industry cap is higher for everybody though is a good change.
