If Camden had credibility they would ask the NJSIAA to overturn their tainted “win”. That’s what a good sport would do. It would be a valuable lesson for their players in good sportsmanship.

Just look at the Camden coaches intimidating the officials after the game. No way they have the class and integrity to do the right thing.

The taxpayers of New Jersey recently built Camden High School a new building for $242 million. Since then Camden has been shipping "students" in from across the country to play basketball. There was a controversy a few years ago regarding many of them not paying the out of state tuition. Now this. Sometimes cliches fit; follow the money. Many of NJ public schools are no longer a "common good" but have become instead a retail racket.

This ain't over yet. As of an hour ago (6pm ET on Thursday), Judge Mark Troncone DENIED a filing by the Manasquan Board of Education to put Saturday’s NJSIAA Group 2 championship game on hold. So it will be up to the Department of Education and Acting Commissioner Kevin Dehmer to act on an appeal petition that was filed Thursday morning. An attorney for Manasquan said he hoped a DOE decision will be made Friday - which could still allow time for an appellate court to act, if necessary. But Judge Troncone said the Superior Court does NOT have jurisdiction to stop the game until the DOE and an appellate court weigh in.

The “conferring” is BS. The refs weren’t watching the clock carefully enough. They “gave up” too early and left the court, which meant that the game was over and therefore the basket didn’t count.

If you watch it on MaxPreps...The points were on the board and the refs were leaving. At 0:17 a Black coach for Camden ran up to the 2 Black refs, already off the court and told them that the shot was no good. At 0:26 all three ref are off the court. The Black coach then talks the 2 Black refs into taking the points off the board. The Manasquan team is 100% White. The Camden team is 100% Black. The ref that overturned the basket is Black. Clearly, all three refs saw the ball already in the basket as they hear the buzzer...meaning, that there must have been time still on the clock when the ball left they shooters hands. They counted it. The BLACK coach talked the 2 BLACK REFS into stealing the game. Black Culture. Black Privilege.

they have video proof that they got the call right, and it was wrong to over turn it, bs the review, it is a good basket end of story, the 2 refs that said otherwise should be fired, and this game should've gone to Manasquan. Stupid Referees! Stupid.

If the trail official disagreed with the calling official you would think he would have come forward immediately and discussed what he saw. Instead he is seen casually leaving the court until confronted by a Camden coach Then gets together with the other officials and suspiciously overturns the call. Why? We’ll never know.

Supposedly there was less than 3 seconds left when that play started. Anybody can time it and it was more than 4 seconds when the ball was rebounded after the missed shot. The shot should not have counted. The refs made the right call.

Your timing is way off, but not on the length of the play. Camden was shooting free throws right before this, so the clock was stopped. When Manasquan inbounded the ball, the clock read 5.8 seconds. The initial 3-point attempt that missed went up at 3.0 seconds, rebound made at 0.9 seconds, put-back leaves his hands at 0.6 seconds.
