Been there as well. Go fishing when u can go fishing. So many variables. I love full moons as the ocean seems to void of boats on Saturdays. Lots of tricks to full moon fishing.
A big spinning rig is good for casting,25lb test. A 4/0 casting reel and rod would be good for trolling(Mahi, Tuna, sailfish). I prefer clear mono.60lb.

What power rod and what size real do you use for big mahi

I literally just got back from fishing trip today was a full moon and we caught over 70 mahi mahi one after the other. They hit from 8am till 1pm
