"A Ladder for the Soul" - The Australian Baha'i Choral Festival 2023

- The Baha'i Choral Festival attracts singers from across Australia to sing in the acoustically spectacular Baha'i Temple, an Ingleside icon looking down on the city’s northern beaches. The choir performs sacred a cappella music from a variety of cultures. Interspersed between the songs are prayers and readings from the world’s major religions.
This year with the help of Dusk Media, we get a look backstage at what goes into the making of a magical day in the Temple, the stories of the singers, and the love and heart poured into the process. All of which calls to mind this beautiful quote from the Baha'i Writings:
"We, verily, have made music as a ladder for your souls, a means whereby they may be lifted up unto the realm on high" - Baha’u’llah

There are so many people to thank for bringing this beautiful video together, not the least of whom are the festival organisers Lorraine and Alan Manifold, Saba & Nason at Dusk Media who created the video, Oscar Gomez who provided the graphic art, and of course the gorgeous participants and conductors who came together to make 2023 such a special year!
So much power in choral music. I got goosebumps the whole time. This is definitely an event to attend once in my life

Having sung in the past Bahá’i World Congress, this story brought back so many memories of the power of music with Holy Words and the joy of fellowship while learning and creating the desired harmonies.
