My son and I visit the store a few times a month, it's a blast. It seems like thousands of new items are added each week, it's incredible. That was a great interview, nice to get to know the owner. I've seen him in the shop doing mock show setups, never wanted to bother him. We plan on visiting again tomorrow.

I’ve wanted to go to that shop for years. Met Allen at Retro Toy Con in South Carolina snd bought sone stuff from him from there.
Nice you all still got those old toy shops.. can’t wait we’re leaving on Thursday for our trip to Asia. Would be visiting their TRU and toy shops.. feel bad Jay hasn’t hand out best attendance in the streams.. can’t be a candidate anymore.. ;)
Enjoy Asia. I think stream attendance has been pretty much the usual but you will be missed while gallivanting around Asia.

I used to live in Maryland a few years ago and all they had was a small kiosk in that mall, great to see the expansion they made!
Very cool! I actually live not far from here. I went to their original location before they moved, but this one is way nicer ! I do think some of their prices are high, but I enjoy visiting here. I also went recently during the holidays

Thanks for taking the time to do this Jay C. That was a great extensive and thorough interview. Allan is a very learned man. Experience is a great teacher. I learned a lot from him and his answers. We think alike. I wish him the best of luck on his next 5 year phase.
Love stores like this but usually when in a mall they go out of business within a year or two as the rent is too expensive for the sales they make, with multiple stores ouch that has to be a lot of money spent on rent
Thats usually because the rent is very high in malls, however as malls have begun to struggle more in more in the modern world of retail, I think you have seen those rent prices come down. As Allan mentioned in the video, one of the unknowns he has to deal with is that the Mall may not be around in a couple years and they will have to move, but for now I think they have a good thing going by being offered lower rent than one might have paid say 5 years ago.
Cool store, but I can’t understand how a store like that can do well when I see all of these kind of stores struggling and closing.
IMO It's certainly not easy to run a business like this, in large part because the toy industry isn't really one that gives a lot of support to small businesses like this. But hard work, determination, a little luck and like with most physical retail businesses, location plays a large role in who survives and who doesn't. Like with many small businesses however there are no guarantees and I am sure it can be a sometimes stressful roller coaster of a ride managing the ups and downs of it.
I think he is knowledgeable in toys, but also in how to find them at good prices. I don’t see any other way, but I’m no expert on the matter, lol. Nonetheless I’d like to go to his store. Lucky you are relatively close by.

I personally am not a huge vintage collector but the first time I went there I did pick up a Mattel Secret Wars carded Zemo figure. I was also tempted to get the Classics Snake Mountain playset which I missed when it was initially sold, however the reason I didnt get it the first time was space constraints and sadly that is still a issue so I held off.
That is so dope yes please I would like to see some in the New York State area

LOL, there is absolutely no hate in any of the comments and you sound like a broken record idiot saying the same thing over and over. If your really so fascinated with how sponsors work you should really take the time to learn about the process instead of trolling YT comments. You might get more out of life.

I like the idea and the interviews ..but man .. and this is just constructive criticism .. your camera work on the product is ..Rough... shaky dark and low rez ... but I did enjoy the content

I do appreciate the feedback and I don't disagree, however the reality is I am 1 person without any kind of camera crew. This isn't a professionally made docu-series. Its one guy who managed to squeeze a few hours in his busy schedule to do this for fun because I thought my viewers would enjoy seeing it. I'm walking around a large store with a camcorder that has 1 light on it. So I can only do so much about the lightning. The camcorder is a 4k camcorder so its not low res but again I get the lightning isn't always the best nor am I professional camera man. Again I appreciate the feedback and will incorporate as much as I can in making improvements if I do this again, but at the same time just making you aware of the reality of the situation. LOL and don't even get me started on the other guy who commented on this post that demonstrates they have no clue what they are saying or how things work.
Appreciated the video but find it far fetched that this guy had no clue adults collected action figures honestly the only thing I found wrong with his story like did he honestly believe he was the only one?
