It's also encouraged to stay anonymous. Sometimes they do publish like the Winner's Stories online but the names are never, ever published for safety. I'm guessing the financial stuff is different too from the US.

Because with that amount of money in your wallet can be very stressful and for sure your relationships can change a lot, for good or bad, and knowing your strengths and weaknesses can help you during a period of big changes. Some guidance in a psychological level for sure is helpful.
Not losing the winning ticket is key. In September 1998 I got a Snickers bar with Jerome Bettis on it. I was a Steelers fan and each week in the break room at work there was a new MVP on the Snickers wrapper. I figured it was Jerome's week and it went in the trash. Big huge tip. Hire an APA. This is an asset protection attorney. Their sole job is to protect your assets. They set up layers of protection. Insurance and LLCs and offshore accounts. People will try to sue you for slip and falls. Car accidents or other things. Insurance is the first line of defense. Having the money in an LLC means it is harder to sue you for it. And finally have a bulk offshore. If someone wants access to that money they have to go to that country to file a separate lawsuit. You aren't offshoring assets to avoid taxes since the money is after taxes. You are offshoring for protection. All the investing in the world means nothing if you aren't protected as maximum as possible. Yes..... I'm ready for that winning ticket.

From articles and interviews I've seen, it depends on the size. But the larger wins can take a couple of weeks, for example Powerball wins because each state has to send their portion of the money to your state in order for you to get paid. I have heard that they might give you a smaller check immediately to use while you wait for the rest though.
It depends on the game. A MUSL game like Powerball and MegaMillions will do a wire transfer to your bank account within 1-2 business days of completing the paperwork as long as all the states have submitted their payments after a jackpot win which can take up to a week. IOW, give them a few days before going to collect a jackpot win and you'll probably get the funds the next day.
It will be quicker if you take action today to find out what paperwork is required by you at the lottery claim office and you know which bank you wish to deal with.

You should forever keep it a secret that you won a lot of money so that people won't target you and or try to take advantage of you. Do not spend over lavishly or you could end up broke like many lottery winners do within 5 years.

There's a bunch of docuseries on RUclips about people who won the lottery and they were openly celebrating and enjoying their wealth lavishly. Many of them ended up broke. One guy was killed over his money, another black mailed, another scammed, etc. Live well, give to charity organ, and enjoy life but don't live over lavishly. Don't make it too obvious that you're wealthy. Doing so will keep your money lasting much longer and keep you safer. There's other videos on what to do when you win the lottery that give super solid advice specifically.
Here are my tips. #1. When ever you go to a store to buy a lotto ticket, Always wear some sort of Disguise. And never park your car in the store parking lot. Just about every store have video cameras. #2. Never EVER check your ticket(s) at the store or on a lottory app. If you do, you can be identified. #3. Prior to claiming you winnings, establish a trust. #4. Prior to claiming your winnings, rent an apartment in a secure building in another state and get a an I.D./driver's license in that state. #4. If you do go and personally claim the winnings. Again, wear a disguise. Hat, sunglasses, covid mask, wig, ext.

For anyone who is watching this wins! Weather it's you or me! Hopefully you can remain anonymous but if not! Tell no one! I mean no one! Certainly don't go to the bar and buy everyone a drink! Lol. No co workers, no Facebook posts of you winning, no friends, even no family yet! And kinda even if you are married! ( You will have to tell them! But not yet! Listen to Timothy Shultz! Put it in a safe place. Don't sign the ticket yet, even if you can't remain anonymous! You haven't told a soul yet! Make a copy of your winning life changing ticket and go to your nearest big city and find an estate attorney. Like when I win I'm heading to downtown Chicago. I'll find a law firm that has been around a while! They are used to people with money! So it won't be that big of a deal to them. And then build your team! After you have your team. Let them build a excellent foundation for your money! Your money will make you money! So all the cool awesome expensive stuff you want? It's kinda fr3 to you at that point! Sure splurge a bit with your winnings at first but don't buy a Lamborghini or a huge house. If you never have those expensive things yet! You don't need them right now. Be patient!😎

You should forever keep it a secret that you won a lot of money so that people won't target you and or try to take advantage of you. Do not spend over lavishly or you could end up broke like many lottery winners do within 5 years.

@@SpamMouse Privately. Otherwise someone may try to find a way to either rob you, con you, scam you and always have their hand out with a sob story asking for money. There's a bunch of docuseries on RUclips about people who won the lottery and they were openly celebrating and enjoying their wealth lavishly. Many of them ended up broke. One guy was killed over his money, another black mailed, another scammed, etc. Live well, give to charity organ, and enjoy life but don't live over lavishly. Don't make it too obvious that you're wealthy. Doing so will keep your money lasting much longer and keep you safer. There's other videos on what to do when you win the lottery that give super solid advice specifically.
Here are my tips.
#1. When ever you go to a store to buy a lotto ticket, Always wear some sort of Disguise. And never park your car in the store parking lot. Just about every store have video cameras.
#2. Never EVER check your ticket(s) at the store or on a lottory app. If you do, you can be identified.
#3. Prior to claiming you winnings, establish a trust.
#4. Prior to claiming your winnings, rent an apartment in a secure building in another state and get a an I.D./driver's license in that state.
#4. If you do go and personally claim the winnings. Again, wear a disguise. Hat, sunglasses, covid mask, wig, ext.
