      @@cheap272 he’s a solid defender when he’s locked in, and he’s one of the better rebounders on the thunder. He’s a good player when he’s confident but I’d imagine it’s extremely difficult to remain confident whenever he plays one bad game and everybody in the world comes for ur head. When he’s shooting the ball with confidence and driving to the rim he’s pretty good. I just think the outlook on a player like him would be a lot different if not for the allegations. This is a guy whose role has changed every year he’s been in the league, he’s a 6’8 guard who can play make at a high level and he’s only 21 years old, no reason for me to think his offensive game is incapable of improving. His 3 point jumper has gotten better every year since entering the league and he’s gotten more aggressive in the lane, I think if he continues improving his jumper and works on using his size to finish around the rim he can be a good NBA player. I just don’t get this narrative that he’s some garbage player who shouldn’t be playing in these games, he was a +6 in this game and helped the thunder get back into the game in the 3rd quarter.

      Giddey is an alright basketball player but he is not what the thunder need at least in the starting lineup. The excitement for him was to be the secondary playmaker and star alongside SGA but Jalen Williams came and showed he could fill that role as well as provide great defense. This makes Giddeys role as a starter redundant because he is not a good off ball player and playing him on ball takes away from JDub and Shai which isn’t what the Thunder want especially when Giddey is shooting 38% from the field and 18% from 3. Giddey could provide value as a 6th man but his time in the starting lineup should be through as his offensive struggles and defense has been a complete liability and has led to many Maverick runs across this series.

    This was such a shallow minded take on the game of basketball. Do you know why PJ is wide open homie? Because the Thunder rather hold Luka and Kyrie down offensively and collapse their drives and double instead of play 1v1 vs Luka and Ky. Also on the Giddey hate he was a +6 and not as bad as you make it out. You took the first 6min of the game and ignored the 3rd qtr when Josh came in to help spark that run

    • @aaronmcintosh4805
      @aaronmcintosh4805 16 дней назад +1

      I don’t believe this was supposed to be a super in depth, play by play analysis. But putting that aside, I think his takes were fairly reasonable. You simply can’t leave PJ open if you’re OKC. Maybe DJJ. But not PJ. Just bad scheming and execution by OKC. I realize both Luka and Kyrie aren’t playing the best, but that probably won’t continue. If one or both of them get going, allowing PJ to also get hot from the 3 is a recipe for disaster for OKC. And the Giddey stuff, he’s played terrible. No other way to put it. One decent quarter doesn’t make up for him being a liability and borderline unplayable in the playoffs. Teams are absolutely abusing him. Not sure what games you’re watching.

    • @808bboarder
      @808bboarder 16 дней назад +2

      @@aaronmcintosh4805Based off the data you have from the regular season you absolutely live with letting PJ take those shots. Obviously Coach Mark made adjustments when they subbed out to the Cason and Kenny lineup. Tell me who stepped up in OKC offensively yet in this series? You’re acting as if Thunder are throwing their best punch out when they’ve been bad the last 3 games. 38% FG% and 28% from 3pt and they still won by shutting off Dallas water. Lukas crying took his teams offense and the crowd out of the game and you want that every single time if you’re OKC. Dort has been hounding Luka and every time Ky touches the ball he’s doubled. You must’ve not been watching the Pelicans series where Giddey played a solid role. Also he’s one of OKC’s most aggressive rebounders and also he is a connector to help find guys. His minutes are being managed and he gets subbed out when Dallas leaves Gafford or Lively on him and he can’t score because the paint is packed all game. Teams have not been abusing him and he has played solid defense in moments. Idk what game you’re watching but sure

    • @aaronmcintosh4805
      @aaronmcintosh4805 16 дней назад

      @@808bboarder I’ve watched most of the playoff games so far this year. And what do you mean OKC hasn’t thrown their best punch? Do you not think Dallas’ defense had something to do with that? Even Kyrie has been locking in defensively. As far as the Pelicans go, they weren’t healthy. I imagine a healthy Zion would have given them some problems with his physicality. Especially given the fact that they wouldn’t have had to rely so much on CJ and BI could be a second option. Also, the Pelicans don’t have dominate guard play like the Mavs do. They’re a completely different team to defend. And to answer your question about who can step up for OKC, really nobody at this point. Chet looks a little over matched even though he played a ton more aggressive last game. JWill is hurt. Giddey is playing like garbage right now now. Dort is more of a 3 and D guy. I love Shai and he’s playing out of his mind right now, but I just don’t see it for them if JWill isn’t going to be healthy. Yeah Luka and Kyrie haven’t played amazing offensively, but the series is tied. Luka and or Kyrie are bound to have bounce back games. And if not, they’ve already proven they can lock in defensively and have their other guys step up. I’m not saying OKC has no chance or that they’re a bad team, but given the circumstances, it looks like Dallas has the advantage. You can copy my comment about you not really watching the games, but you quoiting a couple numbers and comparing the Pels to the Mavs kinda shows you haven’t watched much.

      @@aaronmcintosh4805there's no reason to think Luka and Kyrie will bounce back massively based on the series. And if they do then PJ won't be getting his - there's only one ball. They'll need to score more efficiently than PJ has and that's a tall order. Great series though!
