Ahhh so you are the reason why there’s speed cameras at the top of pastures and West Wycombe Road! - only kidding with you. When this was filmed I would have been 6 turning 7. My late mum and I lived at Malvern Close when I was a baby up until 4 and then moved to Wellesbourne Gardens in Terriers and mum lived there till she died in 2018 of cancer. I live in Wye Gardens now, I hear it was a factory back in the day. I would loved to have seen what it looked like before the flats were built. Thanks for uploading.

Great video Roy. I actually had the shop (near the pastures junction) on West Wycombe road albeit over a decade later. Sadly I lost any photos of it and this video has the only image of that shop I have ever found. Think it was a pharmacy at the time. Thanks for sharing!

Very interesting to look back at then, High Wycombe still chock full of roadworks, but it was before the council started it's passionate love affair with traffic lights and other parking restrictions. Can also see the Falcon being built or renovated, but according to the Wetherspoons site, it didn't open till December 1994
I've often thought about taking modern day pictures, but it all seems pointless until you think you could be looking at them in the year 2040

Can anybody explain to me why we have so many traffic lights now 8:23 because Buckinghamshire Council can’t!

The High Street looked busier with more vibrancy before cars were banned. Free parking for an hour brought in more shoppers, as today in Marlow.

Crazy, I was born 3 years after this in new jersey red bank united states
(African American (my grandad), British English (my nan) and Native American (my grandad) Heritage)
and then moved to england united kingdom when I was 3 years old we moved to flackwell heath
which was my favorite place and still is then later on we moved to downley area (garrets way)
I went to the downley school or whatever it was called bellfast nursey or something gosh
it's been so long which had this huge field we had to walk back an forth which now is a lot of houses
and I have some crazy stories before and after it got abanonded and set on fire by school kids
or whatever it was, I was their when the firefighters came ,etc and theirs was huge smoke and fire, etc crazy, but the thing that's so interesting about all this is that I'm able to see in the past I wasn't born,
the memories of my past which somewhat reside in these videos and then the present memories for example the roadworks near where that zebra crossing is near the roundabout where eden is now
I believe was built by the time we got their and so crazy to see how it was before that,
the launderama is where my nan used to for a long time work their she retired now but we have stories their , I can literally observe the streets and say I remember that or know where they are thats mental.
If anyone wants to ask a 27 year old questions about this area when I was young it felt very different then it does now for the most part that vibe is hardly still their but it was quite more formal and mature almost office-like or hotel-like vibe atmosphere and or art museum to some extent (crazy enough) it's hard to describe it was so much more natural looking it felt like you were walking in a park all the time no matter where you were nearly now it has the vibe of like concrete labyrinthine and a more of simplistic warm minimal feel too it, very laidback, when it rains though it's really awesome was even back then gosh it was so different almost magical back in the 90s and early 2000s, I remember when the fountains actually worked near where kfc is id go and splash around in their being silly lol.
