Hey Holla, I didn't install the slip-on myself. I bought the bike with it on there, so I'm afraid I can't answer your question if there's a difference. I am planning on doing a remap of the ECU someday though, which is something I felt made a big difference in mid range on my previous bike (K6 GSX-R 600). I did disconnect the SET valve on the 600 though. I hear different stories about this but a tuner I spoke to (the one that did my 600, the dyno video is on my channel) said that disabling it doesn't bring much in terms of more power. Can't say I felt it bring much more power on that bike, I disconnected it because it threw an FI error code (probably because the wires were too loose).
You're welcome! No didn't really notice any difference (also not a fallback). You'll probably find people on the internet that say otherwise, but I don't think there are big gains to be made there. Tuning the ECU after adding a slip-on however should make quite a difference. In these bikes you can tune the ECU itself, so without adding a device like a powercommander or anything like that. They use a teka fi tuner or yoshibox for this while on a dyno. Couple hundred probably, but you make gains and the bike runs richer (it needs to because the slipon makes it run leaner).
Scheint so, die hier gezeigte K5 frisst mit dem Drehmoment ziemlich viel, inklusive Deiner ZX10R auf dem ersten Kilometer. Also, wenn das Ding hier offen wäre....
+Andrew M Ah I see. I think you should be okay, but I definately recommend trying to sit on one if you can. And maybe check out cycle-ergo.com, it's a pretty nifty tool for this.
Best bike there is. K5/K6 are legendary. BMW knew this and that's why the first S1000RR was so good, becuase it was based on the K5/K6.
I own one and will never sell it. The grunt at any revs in any gear is simply awesome.
Right you are! Wonderful bikes
Absolutely gorgeous bike. My dad had the same with a racefit exhaust, sadly he got rid of it. We miss it a lot
I now own this bike but it's actually a 2006 k6
I love this bike.❤GSX-R1000K6.
Awesome, great bike, enjoy it as much as you can!!
stefanojr Thanks, I will!
Great bike man !
Thanks man, I agree!
have you ever been over to Scotland biking, it's awesome...
+Stuart Gallacher I haven't yet actually! Have seen some great pics of the roads and scenery though, maybe someday!
You'd love it!
I bet, one for the bucket list! ;)
GerhardNL, When you installed the slip on, what did you do with the S.E.T Valve ? Did you notice anything in torque/midrange power and flow? thnx

Thank you very much. so you didnt notice any gain in torque or hp in your 600, but did you notice a fallback , or was it all the same?

Ist die gedrosselt? Meine ZX10r 04 geht geht andauernd vorne hoch bis zum 3,Gang
Stevo Van Ruppert Nicht gedrosselt, vorne hoch gehen ist kein Problem. Siehe auch die dyno video.

skills to keep the front wheel on the ground
Yeah either that or too chicken haha
You can't have a Rossi brake reservoir cover on a Gixxer
squid RR 508 don't worry I talked to him and he was cool with it
A good full system gives these bike 8/9 bhp straight away.and a few lbs of tourqe.
Yeah this engine is great!
250km/h and braking on such a short piece of street?
Yeah mate, that's how fast these bikes are
@@GerhardNL Wat bedoel je met "indicated"?
@@denwiessimo6088 dat 250 op de teller stond, maar daar zit meestal wel een afwijking op waardoor je vaak niet helemaal zo snel ging
How tall are ya?
I'm 1,87m.
+Andrew M Why, you looking at getting one of these beasts? ;)
+GerhardNL yea I'm quite interested but I'm 1.98 and don't know if it's the right fit :))

@Dony Dox Yeah I can imagine them becoming more rare these days. Good luck finding one in good condition!
that's not a WP fork.
No that's right it has the spring inserts, a previous owner did this.
