The last time I went to Disney (our first trip), my fiancee and I ate at the Brown Derby. It was probably one if the most memorable experiences we had in the park. We got to play outside with our Droid, were sat fairly quickly, and got a table where my fiancée had a great view of the downstairs tables and I got a great view of all the character portraits. I got some kind of soup or something that they poured into a bowl with some of the ingredients in it, which was really cool since I've never had soup served like that, and we also got to know a lovely family at a nearby table. What I think is the most memorable though, is how my fiancée at first didn't even want to go to the restaurant, but now it's the one remember best and most fondly from our first trip. And that's saying something because we also ate at Beast's Castle on a different day. (Which I loved, but my fiance doesn't talk about it nearly as much as he does the derby.)

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's always the unlikely things that are most memorable! 😀

Should I go to Disneyland California or Tokyo Disneyland? For me the draw for TDL is I now live in Philippines and that means it closer to get to the downside is that almost everything is in Japanese. We going to Hong Kong Disneyland in September for the first time. So it would probably be next year we go to another Disneyland. Any info would be great.

That's a tough one. They are very different resorts. See how you get on with HK Disneyland, if you enjoy that, I would definitely suggest heading to the Tokyo Disney Resort. 😀

@@themepark101 We probably go to Tokyo Disneyland as it’s closer. I moved to Philippines in November 2020 as my wife is from here. So maybe May or September next year. I went twice to Disneyland in California and once to Disneyland Paris that was a long time ago so my memory is pretty patchy. All I remember is that my 3 favourite rides were Pirates of the Caribbean, It’s a Small World and Star Tours and out of the 3 as you know It’s a Small World is the only one of the 3 at HK Disney. But looking forward to seeing Festival of the Lion king Show and Mystic Manor and just taking in the Disney Magic. Maybe we will get lucky and the new frozen land will be open. That is what my wife would really like to see plus she really wants to see the fireworks by the castle at the end of the day. I would love to see a few cast member dressed as Woody and Buzz and Sully and Spider-Man and some of the lion king characters.
