I'm in my 70's and have been a modeler since childhood. Never did trains as I was an Army kid and then did 23 years myself. We moved to often do such things. Your work of whimsy amazes me. Am watching everything. A very entertaining thing you do and you are doing it so well. Not boring and you are an excellent instructor. How would one go about seeing it for real if in the area ?
Absolutely love this video series! If you take suggestions: what about a ectoplasim pickle vat car. Use the open top pickle tub on a flat car style and make it so when underground it glows all neon green and yellow and has floating pickled body parts like arms and feet. Gross but might fit? Again love the builds.
I have always replaced the P;astic Wheel sets with metal wheel sets, I've found that metal wheel sets don't build up crud on the treads the way that plastic ones do.
I had fun but think you had more fun than I. Some great finishing touchs adding the digging tools. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next. Thanks for sharing this build. GOD BLESS 🚂💖💀💖🚂💖💀💖
Love it. A couple of times I actually got ahead of you, so you are obviously teaching me well. I am also already imagining how the children will react to it on Halloween. It will be wild.
Each installment is better than the last! I think I had nearly as much fun watching as you had building and running that car! This entire series is a Masterclass on what can be accomplished with a bit of imagination and attention to the small details. Thanks for sharing it with us Dave.
This quote came to mind given your Gruesome Gulch antics... "I want a closed casket funeral. However, towards the end of the service, please have the organist play Pop Goes the Weasel over and over until everyone in attendance is staring at my coffin with silent horrified anticipation."😏
You should customize the locomotive to make it look like its boiler has exploded, yet it still lumbers on - the locomotive is as dead as the passengers!
Dave, I like what your doing! I feel that Bachmann charges to much for their rolling stock! Weather, what they charge is justified; or, not, I really don't care. I want to spend less money on my layout and showing how to save a bunch of money is very welcome with me. Thanks!!!
Awesome! I cannot wait to see what kind of treatment the Engine gets!
A cool wood side tanker car would a nice addition. Carrying either blood, ooze or other Halloween theme liquids..

I host an open studio on the 1st Saturday of almost every month. More info on the TMS website: thundermesa.studio/visit/
Now on my bucket list and it's almost empty.@@ThunderMesaStudio
Always a joy watching your build and tells! But your GGRR one hit the spot for me... Love a gruesome 👻
You should consider changing the engine's headlight for blue or green to get an ethereal glow. Could be cool.

Always fun.
You should consider putting the hatbox ghost effect somewhere on the layout.
This is very cool and exciting. We’re finally assembling the haunted ghost train on the lower ghostly realm line
I think that is the best-looking "fright" car yet. Great build.👍
Ooh! "Fright Car" - I'm using that!

My goodness that one car adds so much. Well done.

I agree - a great fun project.
Utterly brilliant as usual Dave!!

Thank you so much
Wow that is scary . imagine a train going by with a load of caskets
Evening from Nashville Tn🪕🎸
A terrific, fun video. You truly have a talent I am envious of.
This whole layout has me grinning from ear to ear! Thank you for sharing, Dave! 💀
I couldn't help but be reminded of the song, "Big Houses" by House of Freaks, which ends on the line: "...and the casket train keeps rolling by."
really nice car build.
❤❤❤❤❤❤amazing work 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Your imagination is light years beyond mine!
Awesome work as always dude!
Another great video Dave. Thanks for another freight car build. This one really does add a lot, love it. 1:40
Nice the loco needs to look the part
Ps Moore black light blood ooohh

👍👍Dave that is one awesomely gruesome coffin car! Great video on how you made it really cool. 🚂🚂
The loco needs a Grim Reaper engineer figure.
Thats some job, awesome work!!
Now, you have to revamp the loco, too. Doesn’t fit to the other parts of the train.
It's on the list
Amazing model.
Totally enjoyed.
Holy crap... never saw this channel. Slow clap .....

Would love to see a caboose with gothic arch winows
I have not been able to locate your MinWax stain pens, where are you finding them or have they been obsoleted?
I get them at my local hardware store in the wood stain dept. They are also on Amazon. a.co/d/3WesGL9
very Cool, Dave!!!
Love it!
This would be awesome in "G" scale.
Cool
Thanks Dave that was amazing! , haven’t seen but have you or are you planning on any hobo encampment of the dead? , thanks again!

What brand CA glue do you use?
My envy for your skill is indescribable.
