Huawei This is the only brand besides Nokia which has caught me emotionally This is the only smartphone brand in the world which rarely copy other brands , which brings something totally new with their every flagship smartphone . But it is very sad that they are being let down on purpose. Otherwise, in the next few years, they would have taken Samsung down and become the No. 1 mobile brand. Despite not having Google's service, their phones are among the most selling mobile phones of the past few years. Today they released their new phone Huawei Mate 40 Pro Series which are the first Android mobiles in the world with 5nm chip inside, Which could easily fight head to head with Samsung note 20 ultra and iPhone 12 pro max.
If Huawei successfully launched their Harmony OS, I think other Chinese phone companies will start to adapt to Harmony OS or maybe they'll offer a two versions to the market: Android version and Harmony version

I am sure harmony OS will succeed coz there many Chinese phone makers that will support it and people are already sick of USA and Google bullying Huawei. Huawei got so much support from the international community. I am ready to switch over to Huawei I am just waiting for Harmony OS.
Mate10pro was my first Huawei phone, after that experience love starts. I upgraded to the Mate20Pro and that was one of my best phones ever. After that I bought P40Pro and accept life without fuckin' Google and now I am on Mate40Pro. Kirin SoCs are real monsters. Waiting for Mate50 series.
What are you using now for email, maps etc. Unfortunately, I still need google for work. Also, what makes me hesitant is the local apps in our country. Pretty sure i will have issues installing it since i wont be able to access playstore. How do i go about this problem if i buy mate 40 pro?
Please stay safe during these times. That said, a considerable number of people don't rely on the play store. So The mate 40 and every other Huawei device should do well in markets where they're accepted.

Rockin my mate 30 pro and love it!, The screen is amazing! Just beautiful to look at, As much as I'd prefer a screen that isn't as curved as the mate 30 pro, especially when using gesture navigation, it's still easy to use once you get used to holding the phone, prolly upgrade to the mate 40 pro plus next 2 years or so.
Two years ago i bought a huwaei p30 pro and today the shape of this phone is absolutely amazing. It works and move exactly the same like in the first day and i have no problems at all with this smartphone. I need google services on this brand as I don t want to go back on Samsung but i would like a bigger smartphone and every two years i am changing it but this p30 pro is incredible!!!
Wow! This video has really shown me how good Huawei phones really are. That camera is awesome with the pictures you took. I've never had or used a Huawei phone, but they do look very tempting.

It's still working. And i live in China, so Google service is not very important for me, But Huawei camera is smoking insane!
I have the p30 pro and the Mate 20, both are fantastic phones. I would sacrifice GMS simply because the superb quality of Huawei devices definitely outweights the lack of Google services. Huawei innovates, the rest follow.
I'm going to try out the p40 lite to see if I can live without GMS and if all goes well then I'm sticking to Huawei and the ecosystem it's building. If it doesn't go well, Samsung?

Just a little nit pic: On the front cutout there is no tof sensor, the size of cutout is for the 3d face unlock, so i´m afraid that there is no choice between a smaller cutout or a bigger one, unless you want to get rid of the 3d unlock. Oh and Huawei has confirmed that all devices running imui 11 will get harmony OS, there both the Mate 40 and P40 line of devices should get it.
Yep also they have released a Roadmap for the harmony os release and it will be able to run on phones running the kirin 980 chip as well as the 990 and 9000 so any Huawei in the past 2 years will be able to get the new os

@@danialabdullah29 Oh. You're right. That might be a problem ... I'm thinking to buy a new Huawei (still have a Mate 20 Pro), but realizing that installing most of the missing apps via other apps instead of Play Store doesn't solve the "sign in" problem.
Installing gapps via USB C isn't a huge hurdle for me, especially since you don't even need to unlock the bootloader. I also kinda miss the AOSP email clients over gmail these days. Google dumping too much bloat on their own apps. And RUclips Vanced works like magic with its own google login and zero video ads. These inconveniences aside, 5nm Apple bionic level performance, 65W charger, stellar cameras would just be a norm. Plus, there's no trade restrictions where I live, so availability is no problem with a contract and pricing discounts. Only thing is, my contract only ends in 2021.
Can I give you some advices? Your opinions and captures of products are very nice. But for video edit, you can use more texts, graphs or animations for visualization, instead of just using macro videos of the product. MKBHD and Dave2D does it well, uses charts etc. to tell the story they try to. Visualization for specs and comparisons makes video much more appealing. Keep in mind.

VMOS is an app allows you to run an android vm with gms. I run RUclips app on it from my Huawei phone. and you are able to play youtube video when screen locks.
I have had my Huawei mate 20 for three years and it still works as fast as the first day i got it. Battery is still working fine. compare to iPhone i had before, Iphone started going down really fast after three years use in its processing and battery. Because i accidently smashed the screen of my Huawei mate 20, I bought Google pixel 6 pro. Compare to Huawei, its rubbish. Battery does not last as long as a three years old phone. Processing is slower too.
Planning to return mine today. It's a really, really great phone ... until you realize that 90% of apps you sideload are using GMS to push notifications (Skype for instance), not being able to pay with it, using 3rd party bank apps, not being able to connect my old Huawei smartwatch because it also uses Google apis. I know ... I know ... you can install GMS (sort of), but who can guarantee it will work after the next update?

I like a phone to work straight from the box but am not afraid to dabble if needs be. I love Huawei phones, my Mate9 is still going strong and has been the most stable version of Android I've ever had on any of my Adroid phones.

It will be just a competitive market but to say the rest of andriod phone will dissappear its like saying everyone South Korea will not be buying Samsung phones and Indians ditching Xiaomi and all be shifting on Huawei lol. Oh dont forget that mate 40 pro is not cheap even if theres GMS on it not everyone will going to buy it. Majority of people nowadays are more on budget to midrange phones.
You might have been worrying about without Google Apps before. But when you have been using Huawei system, you will realize it's working well for your purpose, and any systems can be replaced.
I have the P40 Lite and the whole thing with the Google Services ain't that much of a problem if you know how to get certain apps, so it's definitely not a bad choice. I will stick to Huawei in the future too.
mate 40 has 3.5 phone jack the rumor has that the audio processing quality is like nothing we've seen before. I can't wait to try them out. Global sale is scheduled at 12/21, honestly I have never got so excited for any phone

Try Microsoft Outlook and just import your Gmail account. It's basically the equivalent of having Gmail installed 🤷🏽♂️
I'm using p40 lite and its best phone you can get in this price range. Battery life and performance is unmatchable.

The Kirin doesn't compare to the A14 Apple chip. Being 5nm doesn't really matter

VMOS is an app allows you to run an android vm with gms. I run RUclips app on it from my Huawei phone. and you are able to play youtube video when screen locks.

I have had my Huawei mate 20 for three years and it still works as fast as the first day i got it. Battery is still working fine. compare to iPhone i had before, Iphone started going down really fast after three years use in its processing and battery. Because i accidently smashed the screen of my Huawei mate 20, I bought Google pixel 6 pro. Compare to Huawei, its rubbish. Battery does not last as long as a three years old phone. Processing is slower too.

Planning to return mine today. It's a really, really great phone ... until you realize that 90% of apps you sideload are using GMS to push notifications (Skype for instance), not being able to pay with it, using 3rd party bank apps, not being able to connect my old Huawei smartwatch because it also uses Google apis. I know ... I know ... you can install GMS (sort of), but who can guarantee it will work after the next update?
You can get MicroG and once installed GMS works no matter how many updates there are.
@@jzvr5842 Sadly, Skype and Teams are not getting any notifications (chat and calls), although having MicroG installed and both apps appear in microg's app list.

I like a phone to work straight from the box but am not afraid to dabble if needs be. I love Huawei phones, my Mate9 is still going strong and has been the most stable version of Android I've ever had on any of my Adroid phones.

Not really. It will be just a competitive market but to say the rest of andriod phone will dissappear its like saying everyone South Korea will not be buying Samsung phones and Indians ditching Xiaomi and all be shifting on Huawei lol. Oh dont forget that mate 40 pro is not cheap even if theres GMS on it not everyone will going to buy it. Majority of people nowadays are more on budget to midrange phones.

You might have been worrying about without Google Apps before. But when you have been using Huawei system, you will realize it's working well for your purpose, and any systems can be replaced.

I have the P40 Lite and the whole thing with the Google Services ain't that much of a problem if you know how to get certain apps, so it's definitely not a bad choice. I will stick to Huawei in the future too.
do your push notifications work like normal?

mate 40 has 3.5 phone jack the rumor has that the audio processing quality is like nothing we've seen before. I can't wait to try them out. Global sale is scheduled at 12/21, honestly I have never got so excited for any phone
