I want so much to believe that Tom Cruise was actually a stuntman that accidentally became an actor. Like, he walked into his first audition just wanting to show off his sick moves only to be handed lines and ended up being cast for the part.
@@fuckel98 Nah, you see here young one; He is simply stating to himself, that it would be really hard to flex tape reincarnation and to wholely water-proof it. You know how in anime there is always that one old man who is the toughest and strongest fight with infinite fitness... well I’m starting to think Tom Cruise is the real version of that...
Yeah. But too bad Universal never properly planned it out. I mean we had Dracula Untold : A film about Vlad Tepes having to fight for his family and becomes a vampire by Caligula. The Mummy: Just Tom Cruise Movie. With female mummy, for some reason?? Oh and Jekyll and Hyde.( which I feel was the only good thing about the film and really wished we had gotten a film about him) Invisible Man: Just an angry and psychotic exboyfriend that happens to make camera suit that makes him invisible???? But he dies by Girlfriend. So no Invisible Man. And then I think we had The Wolfman remake, different Frankenstein films, no bride of Frankenstein remake yet, I'm not sure of Black Lagoon got a remake, Phantom of the Opera remake, etc. And yet...none of these films are good. They all terrible for a Monster Cinematic Universe. ( except for maybe Dracula Untold would have been a good start off had the studio not butted its head in)🤣
And in the new mission impossible , tom cruise got a helicopter licence and worked with Ariel acrobats to learn how to do the helicopter chase scene with Henry Cavil
to be fair though, if there was a scene with a helicopter in it and I could end the movie with the ability to say that I know how to fly a helicopter, I would totally go that extra mile...and im afraid of heights
Vandyno I like to imagine that they originally have the characters left handed, but tom cruise just looks them dead in the eyes and tells them to make him right handed

Admittedly, when you’re left handed, you do pretty much have to get used to almost the entire world being designed for right-handed people, and so are already halfway to being ambidextrous before being taught to be.
I'm surprised that, while on the topic of his running, you didn't mention the scene in MI3 where Tom Cruise does nothing but run for 5 minutes in one continuous shot.
Tom broke his ankle in his recent film. I think it's another M.I. He was jumping between buildings, and when u see the video, no ankle should move like that. CONFIRMATION HOW BADASS TOM IS: Tom, with his broken ankle, continues on with the scene (it ends quickly) but u can see him visibly hobble with the injury. They had to stop shooting for like 2 months so he could recover. lol
I stub my toe when I get out of bed and I call it a day. This dude is approaching senior citizenship and is breaking ribs and ankles like nothing is wrong
Other actors: *People see because they’re hot, or have a good voice* Tome Cruise: *People see because they want to see what death-defying stunt he’ll do next.*
I'd be even more impressed if Cruise was right-handed and doing stuff with his left hand. Most of us lefties have to be able to do some stuff with our right hands because most stuff is made as if everyone is right handed, because of this I'm close to being ambidextrous. Still impressive of course, but it could be even more impressive.
IceRiver1020 I use scissors with my right hand, cause my mom refused to buy me left-handed scissors when I was little. Incidentally I'm terrible at cutting/scissoring.
.... Yeah i can confirm he is nuts.... when they were recording a scene for one of his movies.... knight and day.. he was riding a bike alongside one of the biggest streets on the city pretending to be in pamplona...... and the bulls found out a way to escape.... and they caused havoc around the city they ended up near my house and they literally had to call the police and animal control on them

Fine detail shit I can contact juggle with my right but my left just kinda flops around I see with both but I do the details with the left ... There is a growing number of lefties in shooting sports, reflexive sports like trap shooting or exhibition shooting disproportional to the population and in professional snookers lefties are 1 to 1 or even more my brother who is left handed shocked a ranked clay pigeon his first time using a gun when he went five for five. There has to something to this like do lefties have the ability to do complex maths instinctively like a leftie mutant ability
Me to but i was always thought to use my right eye with whatever i was using and it was easier once i got used to it, are you saying that lefties are just ahead because their dominant eye is behind the sights? My theory is that they have better use of a chunk of their brains that handles complex maths effortlessly.
There was an Invisible Man movie in 1992. Chevy Chase was the invisible man. A lot of the movie he would be standing in a room and everyone would pretend that they couldn't see him. It was a different idea.
Acually learning a new movement pattern is equally easy or difficult regardless of which hand you learn it with. If its new the "headstart" in learning your dominant hand could have is simply non existent. You just have to overcome the initial "feeling" that you want to learn it with your dominant hand first. Thats what I found out when I started learning to become ambidextrous.
I want Brendan Fraser as Rick O'Connell as Van Helsing so fucking much now. I never knew I needed that in my life, but I do. Is there some way we can make this happen?
As a left handed person I find it pretty easy to learn things with my right hand because so many things are just set to be easier with your right hand. But that's just my experience.
My theory is that Tom Cruise is so dedicated to providing a realistic performance that he actually became a vampire for 'Interview With The Vampire' and he's been testing the limits of his immortality ever since, leading him to do more and more crazy shit in his films.
In the MI 3 car stunt, i heard the story was they put a line of tape on the ground to let him know when the cable was going to slam him into the car and he kept anticipating it, which ruined the take. So he asked them to remove the line so he didn't know when the explosion was going to happen. When he didn't expect it, it looked good.
I can totally believe he chooses his roles based on the possibility of running. "You'd play a cop who's on the run..." "I've heard enough. Send me the script." "You'd play an Olympic sprinter..." "I'm in!" "You'd play an accountant who's going through a messy divorce..." "Do I get to do any running?" "Well, there are a couple of jogging scenes." "Could I be sprinting instead of jogging?" "I guess so." "I'll do it!"
With the left handed thing you might be referring to cross dominance which while still impressive makes it easy for him to say only use left and for writing but right for everything else.
Ok but real talk Johnny Depp as the Invisible Man in a movie directed by Tim Burton has potential to be amazing. Especially if it’s based off of the original and they use the bandage wrapping.
