The original dance line of ATEEZ includes Yunho, Mingi, and Wooyoung (main dancers), and occasionally Yeosang (lead dancer). However, as time passes, San has earned his spot towards being one of the performers/dancers of the group, with the other members Seonghwa, Hongjoong and even Jongho being recognized as well.
San, being mostly one of the best performers since debut, is always mistaken as a main dancer/performer, and leads to him being THE MEMBER that attracts most people and audience with his theatric, dynamic and emotional dance style and performance. However, his original position is the lead vocalist of the group, with Jongho being the main vocalist. I can't emphasize enough of how he improved himself with dancing, since technically, he was one of the bad dancers pre-debut. Obviously, though, some fans, and non-Ateez fans, tend to forget that San is also the lead vocalist, which is unfortunate. This also leads to Yunho and Mingi being a bit unnoticeable during dance performances, since Yunho is also a great vocalist and Mingi being one of the rappers. Wooyoung, on the other hand, is most likely recognized in his dancing skills, which you can see in his Artist of the Month performance.
To add on, there is debate among fans and non-fans of Ateez about the positions of Yunho and San, in regards to their dancing skills. My personal opinion lies with Yunho as the main dancer, as I prefer technical, clean and sharp choreography and style. However, people would argue that San is the main dancer due to his stage presence, facial expressions and demonic aura when dancing. This does not mean that both lack where one other shines, both of them have talent and are great at dancing. I think it's great that there is dynamic and individualism within the group, which makes ATEEZ versatile but also complete. These members just have their own style, technique, and preference as well, so I don't think there's no reason to fight.
Still, the official positions of the group now states that the dance line of the group includes Yunho, Mingi, Wooyoung, Yeosang and San. And recently, Seonghwa joining the rap line with Hongjoong and Mingi. The vocal line includes Jongho and San, with Seonghwa and Yunho roughly included (and Wooyoung and Yeosang).
These are my observations and conclusions regarding their positions in the group. And to be totally honest, the titles they hold are only titles, I think all of them are great vocalists, rappers and dancers. They are called the best performance group after all.

@@_.smhg._9136 Well, I do think Yeosang’s main position is lead dancer, and pretty much he’s one of the OG dance line members of Ateez. It’s just that rapper, vocalist and performer are the terms used for categorizing the members for their positions. And from the start, Yeosang was titled one of the performers along with Yunho, Mingi, and Wooyoung.

san has such good body control, fluidity, footwork and is great at popping. it isn't his stage presence that makes him an exceptional dancer, because he IS. he is at the very least top 4 in ateez which would theoretically put him in the dance line.
It shocked me too when I first found out that San wasn’t a main dancer... he just has that stage presence and talent.
Finally Ateez they are a really complete group in all respects. look forward to them 🤍

You should see Ateez at the 2019 MAMA they covered BS&T, along with shinee's View and Miss A's Goodbye Baby, with Wonderland as the base. It was an epic performance. Thanks for reacting to the guys, you won't regret it, they really have a great stage presence and they have one of the best vocalists, our little Jongho.

Honestly I stan a lot of groups but after I got to Ateez, I can't compare them with any other groups. They're really different from others. I'm really proud of them. And yes they covered BS&T in MAMA 2019.
Ateez did perform blood sweat and tears in their 2019 mama performance(the one with the white suits where you replayed to watch the performance) infront of bts...it was one of ateez's best performance....

when i saw ateez for the first time i thought that San and Seonghwa were the main dancers and they arent lol but to me now all of the members are sooooo good and pretty much all of them are all-rounders tbh!! the thing about San is that he likes to literally give his all in every single performance so he is very mesmerizing
I love so see how people always got shocked that san is not a main dancer. He is INSANE. well actually he is their LEAD Vocalist. He is one of the most powerful and stable member when it comes to vocals even jongho said that.

Edit: yes believe it or not Sannie’s official title at debut was lead vocalist only 😭 the members often tease him about his KQ audition (where he very robotically covered EXO’s Overdose lmao) and San has even talked about a time when he wasn’t good enough to join the boys for a monthly evaluation dance and that it nearly made him give up on his dream. So it’s so so heartwarming to see how San has improved in such a short amount of time, he still works at developing his craft and will only keep growing as an artist 💛
These days ATEEZ don’t really go by labels although they do call San an official ‘Performer’ sometimes.

Believe it or not, during the guide was made, San was orginally not one of the dancer line but soon after, he strike so much charming vibes and came out as a super good dancer + performer. So i would gladly say all of them were actually dancer + performer. San doesnt even know basic dance / how to dance well like other trainee ㅠㅠ super proud of him cause look at him setting a new standard for idol as perfomer!

ateez is one of the biggest fans of bts in the idol world hahaha ateez, txt and stray kids are very close, real friends, and wooyoung and yeosang were already trainees at bighit and trained with txt and heesung from enhypen
5:05 yeah thats what many people thought too about ateez as well they just doesn't have that rookies vibes anymore unlike other group that you can really tell they are still rookies. Its great the you are finally getting into them! Many international fans are into ATEEZ because of the way they perform with such passion. They interact with their fans (ATINYs) constantly even during pandemic which help them be on track. They have a close relationship with each other, they are one funny, interesting and unique group. Hoping they will receive lots of attention and love because they deserve it! They come from a small company (KQ Ent) but they persevere and is slowly gaining the attention, popularity and love they so much deserve. They are a complete package I must say. BTW their baby brothers (KQ Fellaz 2) will be debuting some time this year, they are also very talented kindly watch out for them.

Youll love ateez im telling you. Yes that was BTS- Blood sweat and tears. They performed it on MAMA 2019 (ITS LEJINDARY LITERALLY HAVE NO WORDS)they were barely an year old group at that time and after MAMA 2019 EVERYBODY LITERALLY EVERYBODY WAS TALKIN ABOUT THAT PERFORMANCE THEIR VOCALS STAGE PRESENCE EVERYTHING. I wasnt into any kpop other than BTS at that moment that performance introduced me to ATEEZ.

i've seen videos about the ban on the mafia game but the truth is they weren't banned from playing the game. mingi shared during a past vlive that there was this game called 'bang' and it's similar to the mafia game. basically, the members were addicted to it that they kept on playing it, even foregoing sleep. jh commented that 'they might have to ban it'. the thing with the choking part might be bc of mistranslation. at the same vlive, they played a 'bowling game' and yunho and jongho lost. the penalty was to eat lemon and yh almost choked.
