I probably watched this video 50 times before I took my MSF course, and while I don't own the same bike as you, I credit this video with my purchase of a Triumph. Love this video; one of my favorite motorcycle videos on RUclips.
Excellent video, I used to have a Tiger 1050, it brought back memories. Taking a high geared, high centre of gravity bike around hairpins is always a challenge. lol.
Nice video, great to just hear the great sound of the bike and not some hideous music. I am buying a 2010 1050 today and can't wait to get it! Moving from a 2008 vstrom 1000 to the tiger. That scenery is incredible, I'm not a fan of the narrow tight road though, too many 1st gear corners for me, you must have to focus hard the whole time due to the narrow road and the traffic and the cyclists, I think I'd be exhausted after that ride! When I saw that car pass you I said WTF!!! Some people are ignorant and pathetic, he is one of them. Thanks for the video.
Hi, my Tiger is from 06/2010. It's one of the first Tigers with the dual button unit. It's also one of the first ones in Crystal White (metallic) instead of the earlier (non-metallic) Fusion White.
Thx Beeking65, I don't like added music either :-) But it isn't an SE. It's from 2010. That year the SE was only available in Matt grey & black and I'm not really a fan of matt paints.
Very nice ride, congrats! I´m from Argentina, I'm looking at one to buy 2011 model with 36000 Kilometres on it (22000 miles). I am looking for references of the motorcycle. I love this bike, but I am not a wealthy person and I don't want to buy myself a headache. Here I see excellent comments. Would you be so kind as to give me your opinion about the bike? Thanks a lot and kind regards from Argentina.
I think the problem with the guy in the Merc is that he doesn't have a good understanding of the actual width of his car. He feels like it is wider than it really is so he drives right down the center of the road. He's probably from a country where the roads and lanes are nice and wide like America or Germany? The thing he did at 34:11 was probably payback for the perceived insult at 32:17, but I agree that it was absolutely unacceptable.
Great video , I think you rode really well , with roads like that it's always best to avoid heroics. The roads are really narrow ,demanding technically, you had cyclist to contend with, other motorcyclists , melting snow at the side of the road causing damp patches on the road.
Did I ever said I wanted to overtake him? Perhaps you should read my description better. My problem with him was what he did at 34:11 It's something you just don't do. Also don't be misleaded by the fisheye effect of the gopro camera. Things on the side look closer than they are, things in front look further than they are.
bicycles indeed!!! You do know what kind of shape you must be in order to climb that sort of mountain. I'm impressed...not with the motorcycle but those gd bicyclists!!!!
Denn damit steigt dein eigenes Unfallrisiko sprunghaft.
I think our boy didn’t see the stopped bike by the side of the road. Shouldn’t have overtaken there. Information. Position. Speed. Gear. Acceleration. (I.P.S.G.A.)
The Stelvio Pass - It is a great place to ride a bike but for me this video made it feel boring. I think this needs editing to remove the first 12 mins and then cutting more to take out the boring bits between the essence of the Stelvio which is the 41 hairpin bends.
You seem to have problems with the switch backs, are you turning your head, looking where you and the road goes. Sounds stupid, perhaps you are already doing this, it just seems as if you are fifty pencing the turns and slipping clutch too much! Enjoy:-)
No offence man, but that digital gauge is pissing me off, from 62 to 73 in split of a second.. I wanna see good ol' pointer slide not this, anyway nice vid, I would really like to visit this road at least once in my life, the landscape is amazing, and it doesn't seem crowded.

Awesome video man, thank´s. Shame is so much far from here. You´re very cautious and the road deserve respect. Keep it coming!
Great video , great bike , landscapes gods , you are a great driver , my respects , greetings from Mexico .

Thanks. It depends on the weather. Usually it's open from June until end September. March will be way too early.
what a shame that road isnt a bit wider , beautiful scenery nice bike , great day huh

dude where are you ?
You have that right, but looked like a nice ride despite the little drama towards the end
Great video, do you know if you can ride this road in March or is best to wait until June?(just thing about the snow)
great road, great video. When did you record this video, i mean which month ?
What month is the video ?
what year is your tiger? your cluster looks a bit different than mine..
*NICE* I like the new more curved look.. I think I would still like the speed to read in the Tach dial but otherwise nice!

The sound of it makes want to c...
Help...drove like a Grandfather...boring... 50 km/h behind the Car, omg...
Too many cyclists spoiling the run 😏
