I got in a customers car the other day started it up and the radio was blaring out so I turned it right down did the work parked it back out customer took the car 10 minutes later called the garage saying since they got the car back there was no sound coming from the radio 🤦♂️
Lots of VW commercial vehicles have permanent 12 volt by default, keeping in mind that those batteries are a little bigger than your average Polo's one. In the 12 years never had any issues though
@peetbroers5772 yeah same as the cars matey it’s why I wanted to show this video as some people have an option on their vehicle they didn’t know about so it could help them quite a lot either way :)
Audi here, more or less same thing. I have a ''FIRE MISSILE'' button plug instead of a cigarette lighter, back seat socket charges phones on a dual USB, and a permanent 12V in the boot, now rarely ever used apart from recharging my tyre pump. Also have a piggyback module feeding a dashcam permanently running 24/7, it will cutoff if the battery goes down to 12V. So far no problem as I have a ginormous battery from Yuasa.
Been the case on most cars from 90’s onwards 😂 and it’s in most owners manuals however I’m slightly annoyed that my mk2 octy hasn’t got this feature as I would love my 12v to be switch live rather than permanent. Great little vid though for those who may not be aware
