It took him a while to win his first too, but he went on to win a few, and become one of the greatest leaders in the history of the league. Stick with this crew, man. You "will" get there. Kudos to Edmonton for an incredible and exciting series. Arguably one of the best in years! As a Leaf fan initially I thought Florida was going to to sweep them but the Oilers will to win slowly won me over as they came back to tie the series. It’s almost as if it took the last 3 games for Florida to find and answer to CM and they found it last night. It’s never easy to lose in the Finals but Edmonton should be proud of how valiantly they fought back, thank you again!

Thanks for the fantastic hockey, Oilers! I have been following this team since 1979, and this post-season rivaled some of the best hockey I've seen from any Oilers team. If this current Oilers team manages to stay together, it will forge its own legacy.
Man what a series! I wasn't into hockey at all before this series and by the end I was jumping out of my chair with the goals! You helped me and my family get into the NHL and we will always remember this series and how hard you guys fault. Keep your heads up and thank you so much for the memories!

Florida was embarrassed in their own building last year by Vegas. It takes a lot to become a winner. The Oilers now have had that taste, I wouldn't be shocked if they made it to the final next season.

As for me, Florida played terribly uninteresting hockey, faded and nondescript, very dirty at the beginning of the series. They relied on power struggle and dirt. You've dealt with it. Canucks fan, was rooting for the Panthers but wow, these Oilers played great hockey and Edmonton fans deserved to bring the cup home. What an incredible series. Oilers played hard, lots of passion, well fought series. Lots to be proud of, always on the edge of my seat watching the Oilers PP.

Being from Detroit and being a Wings fan, tons of respect to the Oilers. At work we have a couple guys from Ontario who’re big Oiler fans and I enjoyed talking with them throughout the playoffs. You guys have a great team and look forward to seeing what you guys will do in the coming years!

FLA was just too good this year but you almost did the impossible against them which is something to be extremely happy with. Florida was embarrassed in their own building last year by Vegas. It takes a lot to become a winner. The Oilers now have had that taste, I wouldn't be shocked if they made it to the final next season.

I know it's hard and bitter right now, to be one step away from the cup, so heroically to return the series to the seventh game and lose. But this is life, it happens, it will make you stronger. You are a successful, happy young man and already a great hockey player - this is not a small thing. You are making hockey better, you have shown the whole world that hockey can be an art. Your hockey mindset, your performance, your desire to get better at every moment is a rare gift and a joy for the whole planet) Believe me, you bring joy to many people. For me personally, the Stanley Cup is not the award by which I judge a player. It's more of a team award, it doesn't define a hockey player. There are a lot of guys with two cups that nobody knows, and they're mediocre players. But I know that the cup is important to you. You are still young, there will definitely be opportunities. Connor, I want to say that you need to start playing for yourself next season. Don't do any more Hyman stuff))) All his goals are only your merit. I saw it and everyone saw it... You are the king of hockey. You need to score again like in the 22-23 season. You need to score a lot, that's for you. This is your way to the cup. And enter the playoff after the regulation in which you will practice your goalscoring skills for 82 games, rather than playing a pass to much less technically equipped players. There is hockey and you are in it. You are unique precisely for your offensive thinking, your scoring instinct, technique, and insidious throwing. Score as many as possible and you will get the team out. You can score a lot of goals like no one else. I'm sure you're the only one who could beat Gretzky's record for goals in a season. This will give you real confidence and danger. You lost her in this regular game playing Hyman, and I understand why. You wanted to create a team, a link, teach them. But you will do much more if you just score and score and score. Your potential is incredible, it should be expressed in league scoring records. You can perform miracles in hockey. You have to do it because you are the only one who can. This is your way) Connor, despite the fact that there were Russian players in the Florida squad, I was rooting for you, like many in Russia. As for me, Florida played terribly uninteresting hockey, faded and nondescript, very dirty at the beginning of the series. They relied on power struggle and dirt. You've dealt with it. I was almost unlucky in the final, but it will give me experience. Florida was there for the second year in a row, it's difficult to beat such a team with such motivation..But you had a great season, you overcame a lot of problems. You got a great coach.
