Walk past everyday. Always wanted to look inside. Thanks so much. Lived in Fareham all my life so a real treat. Brilliant that phone call. Just genius. Totally agree with your thoughts on the listed houses. I too live in Fareham in an old 17th century cottage. Its a privilege to look after the house as your right some people just leave them and let them crumble. Fareham Council should intervene and make people respect these old properties. Regards.

I knew of Henry back say 7 years ago, I lived in meon house 9 high Street.. he would lend us a hose and connect it up so we could fill a pool in the communal garden bless and he had his son's bike a retro bmx from the 80's and donated it to our son and just like his house it was in perfect condition and we still treasure it till this day!!....
I walked past today hense I see the 'find us on RUclips' .. the history not only around your house but the general area is rife and so exciting, I have enjoyed chats with you and your wife in the past and I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am pretty certain that I saw this property on an estate agents website recently. Liked the look of it then and wished I had the money to buy it then after seeing this now, wish even more that I had the money to buy it. Just hope that whoever buys it does not change the building at all inside. Love this building it is so interesting.

Wonderful tour of your facinating house, many thanks Henry for showing us around. I did eat in your restaurant a few times many years ago, think I went there on my eighteenth birthday with family, which was quite a while ago, ( I`m 57 now). I will view it in a different light next time I walk past!

That coffer is beautiful and is as old as the house 👀😱 that's incredible, I'd love to know more and if it's always been with the house and more about the priest hole, is it still accessible or has it long been blocked off... also why does this house have a priest hole was it somehow related to the church as it seems strange as it wasn't the closest of houses or did many houses have them?
havent seen the vid yet but there better be chives in it (y'know the onions)
