Couldn't you just sample your sound and the chop it in the trimming instead of sampling a bunch of different samples? (Not sarcasm, genuinely wondering) is there a difference?
Im a Kev Brown Fn for Daaays hey. I buy original copies of papa kev. his music is rich and deserves recognition. Thank You so Much Sir. Im grateful to you
3:05-3:55 A Kev Brown beat without a Bassline, is like Kev Brown without glasses...I can't see it!!!! For some reason, I'm feeling a Andre' 3000 and Kev Brown collabo on this.
Hands down my favorate producer right now. Kev is killin em! I mean this beat is disgusting! And the fact that he made it from that record. I would have never touched that record but he killed it. Real MD hip hop! Respect!
daaammn. I wanna start making beats sooo bad. But I seriously do not know where to start. I don't have music software or a beat machine. And even if I bought fl studio, an mpd26, a vinyl player, etc. I'd have to learn how to use it all. Shit just seems expensive. How did these dudes get started anyway?
LMMS free software that works in a way that is similar to fruity loops. For all you people who don't have money and can't figure out how to pirate FL studio (like me lul)
@worldcreations thats wassup and i would tell u agree but youre talken to sum one who has never used one but im lookin into investing soon enough, ive been using the Dr. Rex modulator in Reason for Sampling.. its not bad at all
RAAB essentially what that means is that the drum machine ITSELF doesn't have soul, but the person working it does (plus inanimate objects of any kind don't have a soul). It's what YOU put into it,it's how YOU freak your samples and it's how YOU put things together.
@elcattiv0 he talks about it in different places. he says people always say his bass is so dope and crazy but there isnt much to it... according to him he just takes a bass tone from the sample (filtered) or loads one that he saved and tunes it until he finds the pitch he wants, and then just puts it in the 16 levels on the mpc. all the magic after that is just his ear for fresh bass lines and rhythm his beats are all masterful blends of "simplicity" and polyrhythmic sophistication. genius
better than all the rhythm roulette vids I've seen. respect to Kev brown! seriously one of the best producers out there
There is nothing better than having your head right.Sitting in front of the MP on a rainy day with a fresh stack of wax.

Couldn't you just sample your sound and the chop it in the trimming instead of sampling a bunch of different samples? (Not sarcasm, genuinely wondering) is there a difference?
Justin Rogers its faster that way and saves space
No sarcasm on my part either, but isn't the end result what matters?
Im a Kev Brown Fn for Daaays hey. I buy original copies of papa kev. his music is rich and deserves recognition. Thank You so Much Sir. Im grateful to you

Exactly. The magic of his basslines is in the rhythm man. It blows my mind everytime. He never miss with the basslines. Flawless
Sheb Wooley-Warm and Wooley Album. I wont give you the song. Gotta get those fingers dusty on your own.
