Might have been interesting to see the current trace on the scope from the original LP pump. Nasty trace may avoid lengthy test drives waiting for the failure to manifest. Nice work DJ 🍻👍
Great point! But this was really intermittent. Didn't want to drive it in the first place and I didn't have a direction to attack until it crapped on me. By the time I got it to the shop, it started right up. No problem with the lights on. I checked and the psi was good. I was WTH is up with this car. Thanks for watching
Got a p1186 error cleared it and a week later got p0087, no shut off just limp mode and really hard starts , would shut off if tank gets to half full . Most likley the pump?
Not familiar with the p1186 code, but you may have to get it checked out before throwing parts at it. It's possible a supply issue but it could be something else that triggered the first code. Hope the video helps
@djmobileauto the p1186 points to the common rail fuel pressure sensor , will need to schedule a date to bring vehicle to you , have a feeling pump in the back going bad or full of gunk
Yeah nice find . .. mass recall for those denso low pressure fuel pump for both honda and toyota ..
Yeah this one was really intermittent. It will run fine for weeks with no issues. Then boom. It shuts down. Glad I found it.
