Love the 7th scale arrmers and the bug bodies but can't get on with the 8s rigs though I just can't get them to hold up to much for long and hate wrenching on them
Yeah the 1/7 scale is the ultimate size for weight to power ripping 😍. The colder weather might play a role with the 8s rigs plastics where you're at Kev. It's hot here in California 🍻
@@richduperbash2966yeah you're right it just takes a lot of driver skills too the weather does play a part but when you're also driving your RC's like Sid toy stores then you're going to get damaging products see if they're heavier you definitely shown that arrma 8s us 6s 3s 4s lineups can handle Sirius bashing with the skill level behind the driving great job
Definitely one of the best channels out here in America appreciate your brother and I really hope that arrma gets with you here this year and next year and continues running with you with the innovation because you definitely showed their quality of their machines.
What an awesome day of bashing you had their brother both cars looked awesome. I think I even seen a K8 in the mix. The fireteam with the basherbody took a pounding awesome front flips as well. no damages on that nozer. The lake looked superb as always I sure would love to find a spot wide open like that around here. As always brother another great upload 🤙👊
Thanks so very much Brother Aldo 🤗. It was windy AF, but temps were great and we had a blast sending it. The Bug basher FT took a hammering 😂. That noser popped a pillow ball through the hub and ripped a rear RPM arm off the back hinge pin bending the shock shaft and yanked the camber link. 100% done with RPM arms. Big Red did awesome as usual 😍. Stoked to finally connect again with John and Victor. The summer heat and family plans have thrown a wrench in our group sessions. Truly appreciate it Bro and hope this latest hurricane misses your area 🙏
Only a highly intelligent person or a mad man would turn a punch bug into a kickass basher.Big Air you always put a smile on my face and I appreciate you brother.
My fire team is set up exactly the same just different tower to tower brace, same body and power system, put exb diffs in mine cuz stock blx kept snapping pins, it's an animal! Keep it steezy! For people who don't know move your battery tray back one hole, makes it way more stable in the air
Thanks Aaron 🤗. The bug basher is so fun to run. I like it better than the stock cage and it's actually lighter. Took a minute to grow on me, but the durability is ridiculous 😂
Good times 👍. Besides the ripping and jumping it’s awesome to get out in nature to a nice peaceful spot can become habitual because it can ease a persons mind .
Yo Brother Rich. Got a Basher Bodies for my MT410 and it’s the best body I’ve ever had, absolutely indestructible. Love that Fire Team set up bro what a beast man and awesome vid as usual. 🤜🏼🤛🏼😎
Got big red back out, hell yea! 🍻 I just can’t get behind that body on the fireteam 😂 looks goofy af. My stock cage with all panels and interior (that I gave to Eric) all off makes it way lighter and it’s still the only original thing on my rig 😂 I have a new one for when it breaks but haven’t had to swap yet
I LOVE this rig dude! Do you notice any other wear and tear showing up because of the hard body? I tried a few of the proline brute bodies a few years back on my notorious 6S and I kept having shock tower issues due to the rigidity of the body transferring impact to the towers through the body mount posts.
Thanks Matthew 🤗. No wear and tear with this setup. The body post rods will snap on occasion, but they're cheap and easy to swap. This body takes a complete flogging 😂
Great stuff 👏 😝 🤟 I have an almost brand new hobbystar 1480kv motor non-sensored. I can't find a home for it or a good esc to match with it. I even tried a hobbystar 150amp esc. My biggest complaint is that it's just not very responsive. I could barely get air control because of always having a delay. Could you spare me some words of wisdom? Thanks for another great video.
Thank you Brother 🤗. The Hobbystar 4092 1480kv is an awesome motor with the right gearing. I've always paired mine with a Max6 and a 22-23T pinion depending on wheel size. I've heard mixed reviews on the Hobbystar ESC's. Make sure to calibrate the controller to the ESC with a "throttle setup" per manual instructions regardless of ESC choice.
@richduperbash2966 Thank you very much. My scratch build big rock is built up like your fireteam. I started it with the sensored max 6 and had that delay from the beginning. I even reached out to hobbywing. I have a robinson racing 23t pinion. My remote is a radiolink R6GF. It had amazing speed, but I could barely pull a backflip. I threw in the sensored hobbywing motor, and it was night and day improvement. I guess I will keep looking for its home...😆Thanks for taking a minute for me and doing what you do!!!
I used stock ARRMA mounts. Just removed the plastic rocker supports and replaced them with a thin piece of Kydex for the body to rest on. You have to use body clip nylon supports in the rear or the clips will pull through the body.
Thank you Brother 🤗. RC Juice sells Hobbystar products. I'll attach a link. The 56112 980kv is a direct fit. The 5692 should have good power, but the longer 56112 will likely run cooler having more surface area and probably have more torque. rcjuice.com/products/hobbystar-56112-4-pole-brushless-sensorless-motor-1-5-scale
Thank you Brother 🤗. I use a basic Tactic TTX300 controller/receiver. No gyro or AVC. In my opinion, they hinder bashing ability and control. Helpful for 100+ mph speed runs, but that's it. 🍻
Does the Perfect Pass servo give you everything you need out of it? I'm sure your running it at 7.4V. I'm slowly switching my fleet over to those servos.
My Perfect Pass servos has been awesome 👍. They're fast and powerful with great centering. I toasted one in my Sledge 1/7 "Jackhammer", but only after tagging a large boulder off angle.
Man, I love the durability on those basher bodies but that matte black look just isn't my jam. Can you paint them with Tamiya paints or do something for a nicer look?
Yes indeed Brother 🤙. Folsom Lake is so awesome in every way. Fantastic hiking, fishing, MT biking, and plenty of room to rip around for a high speed bash session. 🍻
The BLX ones were inadequate for the size of these 8s rigs. I replace the EXB ones as they start to bend/fatigue. Just bought some Vitavon all metal rear camber links to try out. They look awesome, we'll see how they do. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 I haven’t even had my exb links long enough for them to fatigue or weaken. First run with them on broke the inside link end, replaced it and second run the other inside one broke
Could be a bad batch of plastics or bad luck. I have snapped the end links before no question. That's exactly why I grabbed a set of Vitavons to try out. What I was saying is you'll often see the links beginning to bow slightly before they let go off a jump or bad hit.
@@richduperbash2966 ya I got ya. I’ve looked at those vitavon ones but man they are pricy. I’ve also been looking at the scorched ones, they aren’t too expensive but they do use the original blx link ends
Yeah I've accepted most upgrade prices as reasonable when you consider the cost of CNC machines and their maintenance (plus overhead). I urged M2C to offer just the alloy ends to use with the bigger EXB toe links, but they haven't run with it yet.
