You are so awesome to share your lessons and experiences. Again, I love that you honor God's love, mercy, and grace toward you in these videos. Consider developing a habit of praying God's strength, power, wisdom, honor, blessing, and riches,(Rev. 5:12) before every event because sometimes event the best laid out plan can go off rails. Again, you are an awesome event teacher and woman of God!
I comment often on your videos. Discovered you in that couple of months so I’m going backwards in watching them. I just want to say, this old woman, slap dab in the middle of the state of Alabama loves you to pieces. You’re so helpful and honest and a joy to watch. God Bless you always.
Beautiful as always I got stressed out just watching you go from point A to point B it was if you turned into superwoman all I can say is you did an AWESOME AND AMAZING JOB AS ALWAYS
Your decorations were all so beautiful 💗 well done to you... and your son! He is pretty experienced, I was impressed when I saw him screwing the plinths together 🤩 Thank you for sharing your lessons learned as you go, really helpful.
Yes, I completely agree. I would have loved to start decorating the night before. But there was an event there the night before. Now that the COVID restrictions are lifting, these venues are booked. The most I’m getting for setup is 2 hours before (unless the client pays for additional setup time).
@@YesEventDecor and that's when I let my clients know; I don't do unrealistic expectations. Always remember this, it's your name out there when decorating. Therefore, you need time to make it look the way you know it can. Stay encouraged and keep going.
Thank you so much! I appreciate all your hard work and all your advice. What a great idea to have scheduled times for everything. It was so sweet to see your son helping you. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
@@YesEventDecor Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next video! I just did a wedding reception last month (royal blue, white and silver color scheme).. Had I not had help (cousin, husband and the groom) the night before to set up, it would have been a nightmare. 😱 I just want to know how would you go about finding like minded people to help out. Family & friends are great but if you spend a lot of time instructing them what to do and get pulled in different directions by other (coordinator, venue staff, host/hostess, etc.) you may not be able to execute your vision for the event fully.
Exactly! That’s my concern. I don’t want to spend too much time instructing the people who are helping me setting up. That’s why a lot of times, I say I’ll just do it myself. But weddings are no joke. There’s so much to do and not a lot of time to do it. If I do have family and friends helping me in the future, we have to have a meeting the night before so I can give everyone the plan and their assignments.
Beautiful job and a lot of work. I agree you need helpers. And the day of schedule would be a huge help. I was looking at your son and he was a big help! Thank God!!
Beautiful Wedding and Reception. I love the blush colors and you and your son did a Fantastic job. Thank you for sharing your lessons learned. Have you ever decorated for a wedding and/or reception before? Thanks for sharing and be blessed.
You did a beautiful job👏👏👏👏. Even though you didn’t have a lot of hands... A wedding and reception!!.. wow..😃. I appreciate you sharing the behind the scenes. That’s a lot but You did it ❤️❤️
👋👋👋👋👋👋 Woooowwww!! This was a lot for just you and yes, thank God you always have your adorable son (who by the way, looks so tall). 🤭 everything was beautiful! I am taking notes, thank you for lessons learned! My first wedding is in July, so I need this. I’m lining up 3 helpers and trying to do some setup the night before. Beautiful decor as well!
@@YesEventDecor I wish I could record but I have limited space on my phone and do not know how to use my video camera 🤦🏽♀️. Since I’m off for summer, I will try to learn to use it.
Could you please provide a link for the specific greenery that you used for the arch? Thank you very much! Great job with everything! Glory to God! 🙏🏻♥️
Valuable -Thank you so much! All of your lessons learned are golden but Tip #3, sounded like you were talking to me directly ha ha 😂. I usually work with my kids and they always pull me away and I feel like I am not finishing one thing. Definitely having a plan on paper so every one knows when and how to set something up is what I need to do! Needless to say I can stress them out 😂.

Hello.l ti you. Love your colors... I'll be decorating a wedding at the end of the month... and those are my clients color with burgundy. I was wondering... where fo uou call and where fid you get your centerpieces greenery?. Thanks a bunch.
Hello Thank you for always sharing your lessons learnt. Please could let 'e know where you purchased the greenery garland on the wedding arch? Thank you
I purchased mine on a closeout sale from Afloral. I wish they would bring them back. I have to reach out to them. I get so many questions on those leaf garlands.
I always love your decorations but I think putting the greenery before the flowers make it looks not so good and always buy some pool noddle to give your arch a fuller and better look after that everything looks awesome
Ok. I used artificial eucalyptus on the arrangements at the beginning of the video. I used real eucalyptus at the event venue on the guest tables and the sweetheart table. I’ll put both links in the description.
Thank you so much! I have been looking for faux eucalyptus and I think this will look great! I have been a subbie for a while now. Always watch your videos.
Depending on the amount of Decor & Setup you have to do, I insist on a minimum of at least 2 hours before the time the event starts so I can get in and out more far beyond the time of the event. Like you, everything is reviewed, checked and packed for the day three days before hand. I've got to create a team to help set up, and a strike team to break it down and return it.
This is what the coordinator is hired to do. She is suppose to give your the schedule so you have plenty of time to set up your decorations. You should have approximately 4-6 hour to set up. This should give yourself plenty of time. And try to hire an assistance for the day. a runner who can help you set up! Hopefully this is helpful.
