Your reaction was well worth the wait and absolutely made my day! The joy on your face was absolutely priceless. That other side of Aurora is pretty cool, huh?
Early in her career (such as the Nobel Peace Prize concert), she didn't really enjoy performing, even though she was incredible at it. By the time she did this set, she was starting to enjoy that side of her craft, and it really shows in the excitement and joy she performs with. Although this song is probably the highlight, the entire set is pretty much performed in this very upbeat way. This mini-concert is often cited as a favorite of the Warriors and Weirdos, because it's not only performed exceptionally, but it's so fun to watch Aurora have fun!
That was indeed the lovely Silja Sol on backing vocals, who also accompanied Aurora on "It Happened Quiet." She was with Aurora for many years, but left a year or so ago to concentrate on her own career. She sings primarily in her native Norwegian language on her own songs.

That was a special night at KEXP. Rumor is that there were some famous musicians in the audience. Aurora went full send. 100% committed to baring every corner of her truly-alive perspective.
Yeah, pretty sure Björk was there (it was in Iceland, after all). That's the only famous name I know of, that was supposed to be there. Aurora has mentioned her before as someone she really respects.
She projects her energy so well and is so infectious it had you bouncing along. Her musicality and strength in lyric are a force to be reckoned with---always loved this song for that reason. Look forward to more Aurora in the future.

You are really climbing the ladder for becoming my favorite reactor now. You are reacting to both of my favorite artists, being Angelina and Aurora. And you know what ? I have seen both in concert this year! Angelina in July and Aurora on Sunday 12 days ago♥ Aurora was just incredible, like always. From her voice and performances to the way she interacted with the audience. Incredibly humble, down to earth, witty and smart, and so liberatingly different and awkward-esque 😅 I guess you have understood by now that seeing her live is something that you really need to experience for yourself.

Something I'd like to share with you is that some people feel like they are brand new souls incarnating to Earth to help raise up the human race. They 'heard the call' that we need help and they responded to it by coming down to us and taking a human body so that they can help us. (Dolores Cannon's book 'The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth' gives some background on this. Dolores was a past life regression hypnotherapist and she discovered that some people didn't have any past lives, they were actually first timers). For some of these it is a very difficult transition coming to a place of such pollution, violence and negativity, and many of them simply want to give up and go home or go off the rails by numbing themselves with drink or drugs. The home they long for is not any place on Earth. It is the cosmic home they left not long before. When you listen to her songs, for example 'Inhale, Exhale', 'A Different Kind of Human', 'Runaway', 'The Seed', The River', I encourage you to look at the lyrics from that point of view. Suddenly some of those weird sounding sentences and concepts make much more sense. Yes, she writes about other things too, but they are often reflections on aspects of life on Earth that she wants to bring our attention to (sexual obsession, domestic violence, mercy killing, lust, gender individuality, pollution, the abuse of the planet etc). She shows us both the darkness and the light of human existence. With her songs she also encourages sensitives like herself to stick at it on Earth, to keep breathing, keep loving, to be brave, to stay the course, to express themselves, to grow into their magnificence, to shine their light. She is truly truly amazing and I am filled with gratitude that such a person exists and I can experience her music. She makes a difference.

I also think you are ready to explore more Norwegian artist… like Susanne Sundfør, Sigrid, Astrid S, Madrugada/Sivert Høyem and more…
This is much more the energy and style of her tour shows. I've been lucky enough to see one in New York City and one in Minneapolis . . . . I still return to RUclips for Murder Song (54321) live and the Current shows . . . .she can do it all.

Okay, finding your channel and react vids to Aurora is hitting me like the first time discovering Aurora herself. I'm a total freakin geek about psychology and love playing around with the mind/body/spirit syzygy, so the way you seamlessly reference shit like the enneagram while recording is a little mind blowing. Never seen anyone appreciate music while tying in bioenergetic/somatic therapy, cognitive science, sociology and spirituality like you're doing. I watched (for the 10th time... at least) the concert just the night before: I needed a good moral boost.

She's got a lot going on in this live show. That's what people really like about her. Heu... i mean, in that concert :)
I hade sound problems with this whole concert, as if the headphones did not leave enough room for the different voices (instrumental and human).
I could not hear A's voice very well with all instruments playing.
I played a lot with the equalizer... I also had to strongly reduce the bass... and in the end, it's by going back to my old headphones that it went much better. But I never quite understood.
Someone else had problems with the sound of this concert ?

One of my favourite songs by Aurora, I love her so much! I hope you'll listen to the studio version too as it's a bit different (as always with her live performances). I'd love to see you react to the HAIK documentary - although it's a bit longer, I think you would have SO much insight into her as a person. It's on youtube and so worth watching the full thing!

I am going to try to go to psych 101 days. After watching her and you Rosalie. Even though Aurora is not an alpha she can lose herself in her femininity then reach out her hand grab your hand and pull you to where she is. I think the line "I was a rose, I was an animal" maybe is referring to reincarnation, or at least not feeling completely in tune with yourself. It kind of links to her unleased song "Animal Soul", where she sings: "I'm a child with an animal soul, I don't belong here, I don't belong anywhere"
"All around is stone, All is soft inside" might mean that we have to keep a hard/tough exterior towards the world, and keep our feelings bottle up inside our tough "shell/armor".

Although we seem to agree on a bunch of music as being very captivating, I have difficulties with Aurora as being one of them. I can't really explain why but it's the same to me as it was with Björk back in the day. I really tried and listenend to many songs but it just doesn't get to me. Same then with Björk. I can acknowledge their artistic capabilities, yes, but the music simply doesn't speak to me on an emotional level. So this time we disagree on the music - but nevertheless I enjoyed watching you being so passionate about it.😁💛💛
