I don’t think so… The owner of The Impossible is encouraging the sister to not judge it by how broken it looks, but as the representation of their determination. He tries to convince her that the ship’s potential is not limited by its physical appearance, but by the siblings’ “capacity to dream”. It’s not a dream by itself. The brother may be the dreamer/creator, but they both share the same goals- plus the story still has quite a long way to go. I personally don’t think they separated yet (“*we* found your ship”).
