It's fairly cheap for a saddle stitched bag with high end veg tanned leather. A machine stitched bag only need 1/10 time that the saddle stitched bag needs and cost over 600 in US with chromed tanned Horween.
Great review. On the brink of a Satchel and Page 4-way Briefcase. I need a bit bigger with more internals. Tough pulling the trigger- but I am certainly I will love it upon arrival.
It's fall time again and I am looking at Flannels again. Seeing as I need Big and Tall sizes I was wondering if you could do a video on Flannels that come in bigger sizes. Us hefty fellas tend to have a harder time finding quality clothing. A couple that I have been looking at are Land's End and Dixxon Flannel Co. I dig the videos you have done on Duluth Trading which I have a couple of and love their shirts, but I'm running out of colorways that I like in their stuff.
I've seen James crane review on this bag, and the only downside that I've seen is that the horse clasp buckle jingles a lot. In terms of price and quality, you won't find anything else that'll compare to it, trust me I looked. If the maker could design a clasp on par with theleathershop then I'll be all over this bag. The tension on the bag isn't there to prevent it from making any noise/ come undone.
Yes backpack video. Needs to keep stuff dry in a storm. Some compartments, not too many. Room for Umbrella, raincoat change of socks and pants. Your upper body stays dry with a jacket/umbrella. Waterproof shoes are useless if wet pants wick to your socks. THATS what we need. Especially for those who take public transportation either by choice or budget. Plus Laptop notebook/book etc. If that's not a backpack at least over 1 shoulder, for coffee/bus pass/free hand to tech for cash for cab
That is a gorgeous bag Carl and I know they’re super useful but the whole stigma of a man bag weighs on my conscience and I couldn’t bring myself to do it even though I do think that thing is gorgeous. I guess I’m just not ready in my head. Excellent video though and keep up the good work Carl!

Those copper rivets look great. I have hammered some and mine look rough compared to his. Great craftsmanship!

Yes, I saw that review and James Crane is a terrific resource. Honestly, I think I’d prefer a typical roller buckle clasp.

Fair enough man. It definitely makes a lot more sense if you actually have stuff you need with you: laptop, portfolio, etc.
