Those are two different kinds of intercessions. So yes, we don't need the intercessions of the Saints in the way we need that of Christ. The Christian life isn't a solitary thing. It's a good and wonderful thing to have many people praying for us, beseeching God for our salvation. Just as we should be praying for the world.
