This was the most helpful video I've seen about growing out a pixie I'm now not fearing the mullet stage because I can I just cut it and make it into a different style thank you ♡♡♡
oh im so happy you found it helpful :) i am in a full bob now (almost lob) and never had a mullet! yay! I feel all my 80's predecessors are disappointed in my mullet hatred hahaha

I am trying trying to grow out my pixie while cutting it myself too! You seem to know a lot more than others on youtube, I wish you'd have documented the stages and you cutting your hair.

I have seen So MANY pixie grow out videos. Yours is the best I've seen! I was already thinking that I wanted to transition in a much more specific way then going through all those awkward stages that most people choose to do when they are growing out their Pixies. The grow out. Where you had the bowl cut was absolutely stunning on you. Thank you so much for confirming the way I was thinking about growing out my own pixie cut:-).
hi Kat! thank you so much for your comment! before cutting my hair, i watched many videos too and kind of decided i would just do it and succumb to having a mullet pixie at some stage, but I love change, and even if it means cutting my hair weekly, i will haha. There won't be a mullet near my head any time soon hahaha

Thank you so very much, I quite like your video and all your explanations, first time I hear someone else doing what I have decided to do , which is style my hair as it growth depending on the length , very refreshing to me. I have a longer pixie now and in the process of letting it grow it has been three month just about since my last haircut . That was awesome!!!!!!!!!
this is also how I am growing out my pixie cut. I don't feel comfortable doing the undercut myself, so I go to a stylist and she shapes it for me. I have thick hair, so I am getting a keratin treatment to help the hair stay flatter - I hate it when it looks as though I have a helmet on my head. Thank you so much for all the great tips - this is a very useful video.
I can't leave without saying that this video has been the best for tips on growing out a pixie. I can't thank you enough for giving me hope for growing out my cut and avoiding most of the awkward stages!
I totally love the way you look having a pixie! I have a pixie cut myself and although I like the way I look with it, I decided that I want to grow it out because I feel like I don't really look feminine with it, not knowing how to style it. But seeing all these videos and how everyone looked better with a pixie makes me doubt it. Can't wait for all the stages and seeing how different I look with them and how I can style it. Thing is, I already know I'll be tempted to cut it again lol
Edit: I posted this 2 years ago, I think right after getting that haircut, damn. All I can say is, looking back, I hated my short hair and I was the most insecure I've ever been. It kinda affected me ngl. I can't help but cringe so much when I see older photos.
She looked so great and special with the Pixi... now she is one of thousend. A Pixi always brings out a personality, clear, stunning and pretty.

I recently cut my hair down to a pixie somewhat like yours but slightly shorter back in March and my hair grows quicker then average like yours, so I'm actually going through the "awkward stage" right now and am frustrated with what to do, how to style it, etc., and this video helps a tons! 💛💛💛

I’m growing out a pixie cut. Patience is not a virtue of mine. It can be very frustrating. My hair doesn’t grow fast. I do keep the bottom short which I will do until my sides are the same length as the back. On the sides they almost cover my ears some days I am so tempted to go back to a pixie.

I shaved my head and now is short kinda like a pixie, i was wondering which styles i could try while it grows back. And i did think of doing an undercut but did not find any video of people doing it while growing their pixie. :) Well, now I know that it is not a bad idea.

Everyone’s grows out at a different pace but hair normally grows half an inch a month.
It’s hard to say because I did small styles in between. I wasn’t so rushed on growing it out, I preferred to have it look somewhat nice while it was growing.
I love your cut now.That is my goal...I'm still stuck with very,very short hair.Its been 5 months now since I buzzed it all off with a 1" guard.My hair grows sooo slow.I haven't seen pixie cut length in over a year now.I'm over the short hair and want to get to a short bob length at least.Nice video,thank you for the tips.

I feel like this would be the best way to grow mine out as well, since I always keep the top of my hair long and the sides buzzed, so I'll just keep on growing the top out and then gradually let the sides grow as well. Hopefully I don't hit too many awkward stages bc my hair is thick and doesn't cooperate as easy
When I got to the mullet stage, I put the fronts of my hair behind my ears and the back of my hair looked as if it were longer than my hair really is. Growing out a pixie cut is so painful lol :(

When you were cutting your hair, what did you ask for to get that cut bob?
Jade Peang hi jade, when it was shorter I was cutting it myself but at this length I made sure to always bring a photo with me of what I wanted to the hairdresser. Have a look on Pinterest, you will see heaps of great examples 😊 and always told them to keep the back short even if it meant undercutting it slightly. Make sure you let the hairdresser know you are growing it out so they don't go too short 😊

I’m convinced that these people just like to show how much rubbish they can talk on video about themselves. You didn’t grow your hair here and there, your grows all by itself then you go and have it styled. On and on about nothing.
