My mom was extremely controlling. I recently had to cut her off it was getting out of control. I’m 32 married with 2 young boys. I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t want her seeing my kids anymore either because I don’t want them to be controlled by her either.

I conpletely understand the moms standpoint. As someone who was chronically addicted to marijuana there is truth to the statement she made when she said "everything is alright mood". You hide grief, pain and trauama behind a leaf. I know ive been there. Had to smoke day in and day out even on lunch breaks at work to even deal with people. It should never fet that far. At that point it IS an addiction, not a habit. Just because the withdrawl isnt life threatening doesnt mean its not an addiction. And once you get to a certain level of tolerance, you start smoking wirh alcohol to enhance it. Which adds something actually deadly to the mixture. Face your traumas head on and youll realize you dont need it AT ALL. you WILL sleep better. You WILL have dreams and nightmares again. Your appetite WILL come back. It does nothing for anxiety if used chronically.
That may be true but she can’t make that man say he has an addiction if he doesn’t feel that way. First step of addiction is admitting it. Until he gets there let that man be. As long as he’s not asking her for money or interrupting her life, I don’t know why she’s bothering him like that. Her intentions might very well be good but she is having the opposite effect because she is nagging him. We saw it right here on the show. Her new addiction is her son and she needs help.

If I didn't stop, I'd still be working fast food or supermarket jobs forever because serious jobs do drug tests and I avoided those jobs solely for that reason even though i knew i was more than capable...Wasted 7 years of my 20s smoking weed and being bullied at these jobs by likely people who were just like me when they were my age, but are now in their 40s and 50s and bitter, miserable and evil. Wanna be a forensic scientist starting college at age 55? Good luck with that... Now I'm getting paid a living wage, and happy with my job and colleagues. Bevause they're goal oriented, mature, and when you're around those people, you become more ambitious.

My mom was extremely controlling. I recently had to cut her off it was getting out of control. I’m 32 married with 2 young boys. I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t want her seeing my kids anymore either because I don’t want them to be controlled by her either.
Why not get yourself together THEN think about a relationship. Your a grown man that has no job, no car, and you living with your momma but you want a relationship? That’s the last thing that would be on my mind
When I was a kid, we were on a road trip and our van broke down in Mebane, NC. I'm from Houston. Based on our experience, I've always had this idea that there aren't any black folks there. It was shocking to see that on the map in the beginning of this video.

It’s giving your nitpicking at him.. he literally gives resources on the show. What’s the point in you knowing if they spoke afterwards? And he literally speaks on giving them his number if they need more. Why does he need to tell yall anything when he tells us enough about the therapy sessions he gives these people?

I conpletely understand the moms standpoint. As someone who was chronically addicted to marijuana there is truth to the statement she made when she said "everything is alright mood". You hide grief, pain and trauama behind a leaf. I know ive been there. Had to smoke day in and day out even on lunch breaks at work to even deal with people. It should never fet that far. At that point it IS an addiction, not a habit. Just because the withdrawl isnt life threatening doesnt mean its not an addiction. And once you get to a certain level of tolerance, you start smoking wirh alcohol to enhance it. Which adds something actually deadly to the mixture. Face your traumas head on and youll realize you dont need it AT ALL. you WILL sleep better. You WILL have dreams and nightmares again. Your appetite WILL come back. It does nothing for anxiety if used chronically.
That may be true but she can’t make that man say he has an addiction if he doesn’t feel that way. First step of addiction is admitting it. Until he gets there let that man be. As long as he’s not asking her for money or interrupting her life, I don’t know why she’s bothering him like that. Her intentions might very well be good but she is having the opposite effect because she is nagging him. We saw it right here on the show. Her new addiction is her son and she needs help.
I tend to agree l think she was trying to express his lack of enthusiasm/get up and go which she attributed to drugs.
I've known people who cannabis has robbed of ambition.
@mizzmention8555 I can say first hand I was one of them up until 5 months ago. I went to college finally and I'm now working as a bank teller. If I didn't stop, I'd still be working fast food or supermarket jobs forever because serious jobs do drug tests and I avoided those jobs solely for that reason even though i knew i was more than capable...Wasted 7 years of my 20s smoking weed and being bullied at these jobs by likely people who were just like me when they were my age, but are now in their 40s and 50s and bitter, miserable and evil. Wanna be a forensic scientist starting college at age 55? Good luck with that...
Now I'm getting paid a living wage, and happy with my job and colleagues. Bevause they're goal oriented, mature, and when you're around those people, you become more ambitious.
