Wishing Mrs K all the very best and hopefully will recover well. Long may she reign over you. Take care of yourself. Great video, keep up the good work and look forward to a great return to Malvern next year. Best wishes to you both.
Lovely tour and wow that beet was a scare factor times 10 😂😂. But at the end of the day I’m so happy Sandra is home and you can both get settled back into you behaving and doing your chores 🤭🤭. Have a superb week ahead, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
Hi Terry, great update I can't believe the size of that beetroot I've never seen anything like it. 100% agree family comes first. Best wishes to Mrs K.
Hi Terry, I hope Sandra is doing well. Please give her my best wishes and hugs ❤ . Thanks for such a great video. I was looking at the giant veg at Malvern this ear nd they are frightening. They make me shudder, lol! Your plot is looking amazing. You are so well prepared for the coming year- brilliant. I am constantly checking my buckets and bowls when it is raining to make sure thre is no water in them, and emptying them out before the evening and turning them upside down. I am terrified of finding a drowned animal in them- poor things. That would be horrible. Happy gardening 🙂
Love your dahlias Terry. I haven't grown any for a long time but am tempted again. I make nettle soup in Spring and add dried chilli flakes. I first heard it's good for hair, nails, skin immune system at my cancer support group and was hooked as I'm good at growing nettles! God bless you all love Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
@sowgroweat6987 I think you are getting as mixed up as me or I have confused you as much as myself we are now in 2024 not 2023........🤣 Well impressed with the 3 way mix, looks better than doing them separately.
@gretasgarden I knew if you were watching you would be annoyed with me.......🤣 so many tomatoes this season and Mrs K was in hospital for 14 weeks of the season so they all didn't get eaten because we we isolating and didn't go far when we were home due to the chemotherapy. I am sure you would make something from the giant beetroot....😁.
Couldn’t get to Malvern myself this year, as you said family comes first, glad Mrs K and yourself are back were you belong together at home, makes the recovery faster. Both of you will be in our thoughts as usual.❤
the horse manure looks like it's from stables, terry. you'll have to watch out for the oats growing through. best wishes for your wife...................brian
Aways enjoy watching your videos mate ,as for rats invading I've been okish this year but I've had young badgers invading Rose's new plot and causing some damage ,I've since found out our new plot holder has been putting food out for them ,so I've polightly asked her to stop as they are wild animals and can find there own food ,she's OK with me telling her and said she didn't know not to feed them .I planted about 130 elephant garlic on Saturday so hopefully I will get another good crop as this time I've supersoild it 2 weeks ago ,we have to trial things don't we mate ,it's all fun at the end of the day ,your giant beetroot is a monster mate ,dahlias are looking healthy to glad mrs k is up and resting give her our love ❤
@nidge2822 there is always something that we have to deal with, but that the fun and crying that allotment's give us. I planted 12 Elephant garlic.......🤣 and some Red Russian Garlic Sunday or was it Saturday.......🤦🤣.
Those dahlia do look pretty. ❤ for Mrs K. I've just been given 4 bags of leaves to make leaf mould with. I need to collect some manure from local stables.
@ibrstellar1080 the leaves that were in the grass will help too, I personally don't have any grass so I always ask for some when he puts the box on, everything helps.
Hey Terry 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 That's a whopper of a beetroot 😮 Thank you for saying about taking the tops out of the sprouts, I was thinking about that today actually 😊 Your long beans still look awesomely edible 😊 Thank you for remembering me with the cape gooseberry..🙏🏻 I'm so pleased Mrs K is keeping well ❤🐮🐮🐮
@mandamoosgardeningadventur8305 you will like the Cape gooseberries manda Moo. I will have a look to see what seed I have left, will save some seed as well.
nice one terry plot looks good, hope you and mrs k are doing ok, my kohlrabi is stil going strong im considering letting it go to seed but im not sure how long it takes and if it wil withstand the weather im going to try cover it si its out the rain atleast
Hallo there Terry. Long time no comment. It's possible that the celery leaves have the start of leaf miner?? I know that lovage and celeriac tend to get it and they are related to celery. Good wishes to you and to your wife. Nuka
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening It's certainly a monster unlike my beetroot that simply either didn't grow or went to seed and I normally grow nice cricket ball sized plants.
Goodness me Terry, that beetroot looked like it was straight out of the little shop of horrors😱! I hope Mrs K is alright❤. I bought 2 blue berry bushes yesterday, quite big ones, do they need to be next to each other for pollination? All the best Izzy
I really enjoy your videos, they're very straightforward. Guessing by your accent, are you Black Country based? I am, and was just wondering if your climate matches mine.
@jonbuckeridge9568 I am just north of Coventry on the Leicestershire border so we are not too far away, we live in a dip so get some unusual weather especially pockets of frost.
I thought I did ok with my brassicas, no cabbage white in the netted area, my sacrificial brassicas and nasturtium got decimated! , a few weeks later I thought the slugs had gone to town, nope cabbage moth instead harvested 2 small cabbage, may get some PSB in the early spring but doubt anything else, swedes were eaten down to the "bulb" 😢😢
@Coxeysbodgering they certainly came late and what a mess they made on everyone's crops eating anything in the end just to survive, it did feel like a plague.
