    An incredible performance and piece. The tragedy of Stalin's repressions of 1937 in USSR , the start of war.. Together with 5th Symphony , 8th String Quartet this work makes me cry every time. I know that with time people will put ShDD next to Bach , Bruckner, Beethoven. The tragic and gentle honesty...

      Huh? No one is,/was equal to JSB. ! And were not Scriabin or Mahler superior to any of the other guys named? i say, yes.

      @@jimjones-d1p Darius Milhaud is the creator of the polytonality.He was a major influence upon Shosta and Prokofiev and many others.I'm agree about Scriabine however.
