Stone columns are utilized as a soil improvement technique for weak soils, and in this lesson, the simulation of a shallow foundation resting on weak soil reinforced with stone columns was comprehensively explained step by step using PLAXIS 3D. The effects of stone columns on the bearing capacity and settlement of the foundation were demonstrated.
