If you want to go really hard on the voltron part, Inquisitor's flail. its a really cheap card that wins me games with kellan. cost 2 "If equipped creature would deal combat damage, it deals double that damage insted. if another creature would deal combet damage to equipped creature, it deals double that damage to equipped creature instead. equip 2" with a 2/2 double strike this means turn 4 you swing in with a nice little 8 casual commander damage. Add basilisk collar for the death touch and lifelink and anything that gives trample your opponent has to block with a minimum of 5 creatures to deal damage to Kellan and that is only if your trample equipment doesn't give any boosts to damage. Further add a golem skin gauntlet or Thran powersuit to give a +1/+0 or +1/+1 for each equipment and your kellan with very few equipments reaches the realm of "deals 48 commander damage per swing". Using something like robe of stars to keep Kellan out of the command zone has also proven very beneficial in my deck since it's hard to remove a creature that just phases out when you try to target it.
top searches for me have been commander's plate, skull clamp and sword of war and peace.. sometimes removal, but searching for a card is slow enough as is, so setting up for removal usually bad idea.. unless you read that they rely on their one non land mana source
