There is nothing like a good set of P90 pickups to get that clean, jazzy electric-guitar sound. Nothing else sounds like them.

I'm sorry, I know you are a busy man. I have questions as a beginner (I was a working drummer, till 30 and fatherhood) and being 50 y.o. laborer with arthritic hands. I stretch, I take an aspirin before I practice, I still only can manage 15-20 minutes so before my hand is in immense pain and locking up. I know, I am an unusual exception. But after 2 years, my theory knowledge far surpassed my ability to use my hands. This has resulted in me playing a lot less going into my 2nd year. Any advice would be appreciated. It’s my birthday soon so I told someone to by me the real book. Then Jim Bruno had a video yesterday that to,d me to throw it out or use it to put the leg of an unbalanced table. Lol. I love that guitar. That might be my next guitar and it has to be a gold top. I want one to turn green like Joe Bonamassa ‘s Cajun gold top les paul he found in Louisiana.

I had a Gidson Gold Top Custom Deluxe just like that I bought new around 1976, I think the pickups were silver though, unfortunately it was stolen 3 months after I bought it. I paid like $650 for it new, worth over 5K today I'm sure.
